CONSUMER COMPLAINT NO. 1122  OF  2019

AWARD

1.        Vide his separate statement recorded on 17.04.2023, Sh.Amandeep, Legal Executive of OPs has stated that the matter has been settled between the parties and as per settlement, the OPs shall pay a lumpsum amount of Rs.2,19,840/- to the complainant in full and final settlement of the present matter, out of which one cheque amounting to Rs.1,02,420/- bearing No.425588 dated 16.04.2023 and post dated cheque amounting to Rs.1,02,420/- bearing No.425589 dated 16.05.2023, both in favour of complainant Sandip Singh drawn on Axis Bank Mohali, have been handed over to Sh.Sandeep Katoch, Counsel for Complainant. It has been further stated by legal executive of OPs that the remaining amount of Rs.15,000/- shall be paid to the complainant through counsel within two days from 17.04.2023. It has been further stated by him that in case the aforesaid cheques are not encashed and the aforesaid amount of Rs.15,000/- is not paid within two days, then OPs shall be liable to pay the defaulted amount alongwith interest @ 12% p.a. from the date of filing of present consumer complaint. Vide his separate statement recorded on 17.04.2023, Sh.Sandeep Katoch, Counsel for Complainant has admitted the aforesaid statement of legal executive of OPs.

2.        In view of the statements made by the parties, the complaint is disposed off being settled. The parties shall be bound by the statements made on 17.04.2023, as stated above.

3.        The award is accordingly passed.

4.        Certified copies of this order be sent to the parties free of cost. The file be consigned.
