JUDGMENT /FINAL ORDER
Complainant above named filed this complaint against the aforesaid Opposite Party praying for direction for correction of electric bills, compensation amounting to Rs. 80,000/-, cost of the case amounting to Rs. 5,000/- and other reliefs.
He alleged that he has a service connection under the O.P but for a long period he is getting average bill in respect of 60 to 80 Units but one fictitious bill has been prepared for the period of 04/09/2018 to 09/12/2018 in respect of 13777 Unit which should be corrected. He sent a notice to the O.P but did not get any fruitful result. Hence, he filed this case.
Decisions with Reasons:-
Case was admitted on 28/07/2022. Thereafter 10/10/2023 was fixed for filing evidence by the Complainant. But on that date Complainant was absent without any steps.
Complainant was asked to file Show Cause by 01/12/2023 as to why necessary order shall not be passed against him vide order no. 08 dated 10/10/2023.
But on the next date i.e. on 01/12/2023 Complainant did not take any steps nor filed Show Cause as per order no. 08 dated 10/10/2023.
One further opportunity was given to him to file Show Cause on 13/05/2024. But on that date Complainant filed affidavit-in-chief but not yet filed Show Cause. Hence, 03/06/2024 was fixed for filing Show Cause.
On that date case was adjourned due to no quorum. Next date was fixed on 08/08/2024 but on that date case was adjourned as State Government suddenly declared Holiday.
Next date was fixed on 13/08/2024.
But on 13/08/2024 Complainant did not file Show Cause.

Hence, 20/08/2024 has fixed for final order.
Complainant did not produce original documents in support of his case so this Commission is unable to decide this case on merit.
The conduct of the Complainant indicates that he is not willing to proceed with this case. In this situation we have no other alternative but to dismiss the case.
In the result, present case fails.

That the present case be and the same vide no. CC/233/2022 is dismissed ex-parte against the Opposite Party but without any order as to costs.
Let a copy of this order be supplied to both the parties free of cost as per CPR, 2005.
