ORDER

We are happy to note that during the pendency of this Appeal, the contesting parties have decided to amicably settle the dispute, subject matter of the Appeal.  As per the settlement, on Appellants’ refunding

to the Respondent the total amount received from him, along with interest @ 10.5% p.a. from the date of endorsement till 31.01.2018, the Respondent shall not be left with any claim against the Appellants, the subject matter of the Complaint, giving rise to the present Appeal.

        It is pointed out that the principal amount along with interest                  @ 12% p.a. has already been deposited by the Appellants in this Commission.  If that be so, the amount due to the Respondent in terms of the settlement shall be released by the office to him by means of a Demand Draft in his favour forthwith.  The balance amount along with accrued interest, if any, shall be refunded to the Appellants. 

        The statutory deposit made at the time of filing of the Appeal shall also be refunded to the Appellants.

        The Appeal stands disposed of in the above terms with no order as to costs.
