On 4.5.2012 this revision petition was consigned sine die with liberty to the petitioner to reopen the matter after the decision of the Supreme Court in the matter of U.P. Power Corporation Ltd. & Ors. Vs. Anis Ahmad (Civil Appeal No.4566/2012. 2. Aforesaid SLP has since been decided by the Supreme Court wherein it has been held that the matters relating to power theft do not fall with the domain of the Consumer Protection Act. 3. In view of the judgment of the Honle Supreme Court in U.P. Power Corporation Ltd. & Ors. Vs. Anis Ahmad (Civil Appeal No.4566/2012 decided on 01.07.2013), (supra) this matter being a case of power theft, the consumer fora has no jurisdiction to entertain the complaint. Accordingly, the revision petition is dismissed. Petitioner is, however, granted liberty to avail appropriate remedy before the proper forum.
