Power of attorney on behalf of respondents filed. Sh. Ram Kumar Gill, Adv. for the complainant has stated that the complainant-Mahinder Kumar has received the bill of excessive amount of Rs.73,579/-. Hence, he has prayed that interim injunction may be given.
On the other hand, Sh. Ramesh Kumar Rana, Adv. appearing on behalf of respondents has stated that the display was defective and block burnt. Since display report of the meter was defective and block was found to be burnt and the electricity meter was removed and sent to M & T Lab, Kaithal. The meter was tested in the presence of Mahinder Kumar. Mahinder Kumar has also signed in the column of consumer/user. Since the display of meter was defective and shady. Hence, the electricity units were not properly red by the meter-reader. In M & T lab, Kaithal, the electricity units consumed were found to be 12631. Regarding this, arrears of electricity bills were sent to the consumer-complainant-Mahinder Kumar. On perusal of record available with the case file, in which it is proved that consumer-complainant-Mahinder Kumar has consumed 12631 electricity units and the electricity bill is rightly sent to the complainant which he has to pay. The complainant has requested that he is ready to pay the aforesaid bill in 12 equal installments. So, the complainant is directed to pay the aforesaid bill in 12 equal installments alongwith bi-monthly bills.
Thus, as a sequel of aforesaid discussion, there is no merit in the present complaint. Hence, the present complaint is hereby dismissed. No order as to costs. A copy of this order be sent to both the parties free of cost. File be consigned to the record room after due compliance.
