1. Pleadings of the complainant.    

          The complainant’s grievance is that the opposite party collected GST from complainant on 10.09.2023 against a GST Registration Number that got cancelled in December, 2022.  The cash bill issued by the opposite party showed the GST Number as 32AECFS8428JIZU but when verified on the website of the GST Department, it was found that the number has been cancelled in December, 2022.  Aggrieved by this, he filed this complaint seeking various reliefs.

2. Notice was issued to the opposite party.  But it got returned with endorsement “left”.  Hence, the complainant was directed to furnish fresh address of the opposite party. The complainant failed to produce the fresh address.

3. The complainant has been absent for the sitting except the first one.  He did not take any steps to furnish the fresh address of the opposite party.  Hence, the case was taken for orders based on merits.

 4. As the complainant could not produce the fresh address of the opposite party for serving notice, this Commission is not in a position to proceed further in this case, to ascertain the merits.

5. Hence the complaint is dismissed.
