JUDGMENT /FINAL ORDER

            Complainant above named filed this complaint against the aforesaid Opposite Party praying for direction to the Opposite Party for immediate payment of LICI Group Insurance amount of Rs. 3,00,000/- along with accrued interest, compensation amounting to Rs. 1,00,000/-, cost of the case amounting to Rs. 50,000/- and other reliefs.

            She alleged that her husband during his service period opened one Group Insurance Policy under LICI Master Policy No. 320198 and thereafter he expired on 29/03/2019. But due to inaction on the part of the O.P Complainant not yet get the maturity value of the said policy. Hence, he filed this case.  

Decisions with Reasons:-

            Case was admitted on 27/03/2023.

            Thereafter, 02/07/2024 was fixed for W/V by O.P. On that Complainant was absent without any steps. He was asked to file Show Cause by 22/07/2024 as to why necessary order shall not be passed against him vide order no. 11 dated 02/07/2024.

            But on the next date i.e. on 22/07/2024 Complainant did not take any steps nor filed Show Cause as per order no. 11 dated 02/07/2024.

            Next date was fixed on 29/07/2024 i.e. today for order.

            The conduct of the Complainant indicates that he is not willing to proceed with this case. In this situation we have no other alternative but to dismiss the case.

In the result, present case fails.

That the present case be and the same vide no. CC/64/2023 is dismissed ex-parte against the Opposite Party but without any order as to costs.

 

Let a copy of this order be supplied to both the parties free of cost as per CPR, 2005.
