ORDER
PER SANJEEV BATRA, PRESIDENT
1. The complainant no.1 and 2 being husband and wife have invoked the jurisdiction of this Commission and alleged deficiency in service on the part of the OPs by raising a consumer dispute with regard to repudiation of the health insurance claim lodged by complainant no.2 qua her treatment despite submitting the entire medical record in original with the OPs. So, by filing the present complaint, complainant has prayed that OPs be directed to reimburse the claim amount of Rs.25,000/- along with compensation of Rs.2 lac and punitive damages of Rs.1 lac etc to the complainant.
2. Pursuant to the notice of the complaint, today Sh.Rajeev Abhi, Advocate appeared on behalf of OP1 and OP2 and got recorded his statement to the effect that he has received an email dated 27.03.2023 Ex.RA whereby the OP1 and OP2 have informed him that they are ready to compromise the matter upto Rs.19,300/- and authorized him to make a statement on behalf of the company to that effect. Further, he got recorded his statement that the company will make the payment for a sum of Rs.19,300/-(Nineteen thousand three hundred only) in full and final settlement of the claim of the complainant and settlement of the present complaint within 30 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
3. The said offer has been duly accepted by the complainant no.1 Sukhwinder Singh who is present in the court along with his counsel Sh.Balwinde Singh and they prayed for passing of the award accordingly.
4. In view of above settlement and recorded statements of the parties today itself, the present complaint stands disposed of with the direction to the OP1 and OP2 to pay Rs.19,300/- towards the full and final settlement of claim of the complainants within one month from the date of receipt of copy of this order. Further, the parties remain bound by their recorded statements. Copies of order be supplied to parties free of costs as per rules. File be indexed and consigned to record room.
