            The complainant has filed this complaint with the allegation that the LIC Housing Finance Ltd., Eastern Region has not done their duty properly and for which a cheque got bounced and the complainant was penalized for the same. Being aggrieved with the activities of LIC HFL Eastern Region filed this Case.

            On perusal of the complaint it appears that there was some misunderstanding between the complainant and LIC HFL and LIC HFL by a letter informed the complainant that due to mistake on the part of LIC the said cheque was bounced and because of bouncing of the cheque the account will not be affected and LIC has also informed the complainant by a letter apologized for the said mistake. The said letter was shown to us at the time of admission of the case. On perusal of the said letter it appears that the interest of the complainant was not jeopardized due to the technical fault on the part of the o.p. The said letter though the same was shown to us but the same has not been filed. It appears that the allegation against the o.p. is not so serious one for which the payment of the amount or the crediting the amount in the account of the complainant towards repayment of the loan amount will not be affected. As such, we do not hold it fit to issues process against the o.p. and accordingly, the case is dismissed in limini.
