                                                                                                O R D E R

                                      The case of the Complainant in short is that he is a Consumer under the Opp. Parties having Consumer No. 603728 dated 21-12-1994. As per the norms and conditions he was eligible to get the  L.P.G subsidy which was paid through his Savings Bank Account No. 10812186329 of S.B.I, Phulbani till the month of June 2016 .But the subsidy amount was not credited to his S.B.I account since last June 2016. He approached the O.Ps personally and could not get any satisfactory answer .Hence, he intimated the fact to the O.Ps through Dolphin Courier Service on 03-05-2017 but no action was taken by the O.Ps ,as a result of which he is suffering both mentally and also financially being a retired Government employee and a Senior citizen .Due to intentional harassment of the O.Ps he has filed this complaint against them for a direction to release the subsidy amount in favor of the Complainant since the month of June 2016. He also claimed compensation of Rs. 10,000/- towards his

mental agony and financial loss and Rs. 3,000 towards cost of litigation and 12% annual interest in case of late payment of the subsidy amount.

                                                The O.Ps were set exparte as they failed to appear and filed their version in spite of getting notice from this Forum.

                                                We have gone through the complaint petition filed by the Complainant and the documents filed by him in support of his case. We have heard the Complainant. The provision of subsidy was introduced by the Central Government for the benefit of the common Consumers. In this case the Complainant was getting the subsidy amount as per the said provision till the month of June 2016 but there is no bonafide reason to discontinue the said benefit which amounts to negligence and deficiency in service on the part of the O.Ps . The O.Ps are not interested to contest and to counter the allegation of the Complainant. So there is nothing to disbelieve the case of the Complainant. Accordingly the complaint filed by the Complainant is allowed exparte against the O.Ps.

                                                The O.Ps are jointly and severally directed to release the subsidy amount since the month of June 2016 in favor of the Complainant according to the supply of L.P.G gas to him . The O.Ps are further directed to comply this order within 30 days from the date of receipt of this order. In case of failure the Complainant shall be entitled to get compensation of Rs. 5,000/- from the O.Ps.

                                                With the above direction the Complaint is disposed of. Supply free copy of this order to both the parties at an early date.
