6.9.2022 Present:  Sh. Iqbal Singh counsel for complainant.
              Sh. J.R. Garg  counsel for O.Ps.
Sh. Iqbal Singh, Advocate counsel for the complainant has suffered  the statement that in view of the Circular Memo No. 248/253/SV dated 3.8.2022 of PSPCL the Punjab Government had waived the electricity charges/amount of arrears till dated 31.12.2021, if the amount is not paid till 30.6.2022.  The disputed bill of the complainant is  dated 27.10.2021 and the complainant has not paid the disputed arrears of amount of Rs. 55110/- till 30.6.2022 and filed the present complaint before the Consumer Commission. The Learned counsel for the complainant has further stated that the complainant is entitled to the benefit of the above stated Circular and is entitled for the waiving off the arrears of amount pending due before 31.12.2021 as per Circular of PSPCL. Counsel for the complainant further stated that in view of the above Circular I withdraw the present complaint on behalf of complainant subject to the liberty that in case the arrears of amount challenged by the complainant in present complaint will not waive off as per above said Circular, the complainant will be at liberty to file the fresh complaint on the same cause of action and the PSPCL may kindly be restrained from the disconnecting the domestic electricity connection of the complainant till the opposite parties will not take the final decision regarding the implementation on said Circular.
In view of the statement of the Ld. Counsel for complainant, the present complaint is dimissed as withdrawn. The opposite parties are restrained from disconnecting the domestic electricity connection of the complainant till the implementation of the above said Circular dated 3.8.2022.  However, the complainant is at libety to file a fresh complaint on the same cause of action, in case the arrears of amount challenged by the complainant in the present complaint will not waive off as per above said Circular by the PSPCL.  Copy of the order be supplied to the parties free of costs. File be consigned to records after its due compliance.
