Delay condoned.

State Commission has awarded interest at a higher rate than the contractual rate of interest. State Commission awarded interest @ 9% whereas the contractual rate of interest was 7.5% p.a.

Limited notice was issued to the respondent to show cause as to why the rate of interest be not reduced to the contractual rate of interest.

Counsel for the respondent fairly states that the rate awarded by the State Commission be reduced to the contractual rate of interest.

In view of the concession made by the counsel for the respondent, the  order  passed  by  the  State  Commission  is  modified. The rate of

interest is reduced to 7.5% p.a. from 9%. Rest of the order of the State Commission is upheld.

Revision petition is allowed to the extent indicated above. No order as to costs.
