AWARD

1.   Vide his separate statement recorded on 16.02.2024, Sh.Ramesh Chand, Assistant General Manager (Human Resource) of OP No.1 has stated that the matter has been settled between the parties and as per settlement, the OP No.1 shall pay an amount of Rs.20,000/- by way of cheque to the complainant within a period of 15 days from 16.02.2024 in full and final settlement of the present matter, failing which the OP No.1 shall be liable to pay the aforesaid amount alongwith interest @ 9% p.a. from the date of filing of present consumer complaint. It has been further stated by Sh.Ramesh Chand, Assistant General Manager (Human Resource) of OP No.1 that in case the subject car is challaned under the Motor Vehicle Act or involved in any civil or criminal case, OP No.1 shall be fully responsible for that and complainant shall not be held liable. Vide his separate statement recorded on 16.02.2024, Sh.Sanjeev Roy, Complainant in person has admitted the aforesaid statement of Sh.Ramesh Chand, Assistant General Manager(Human Resource) of OP No.1 and has withdrawn the present consumer complaint being fully satisfied and prayed that the same be disposed of in Upbhokta Lok Adalat.

2.   Today, Sh.Sanjeev Roy, Complainant in person has appeared and stated that as per settlement arrived at between the parties on 16.02.2024, he has received Rs.20,000/- through cheque from OP No.1 and prayed that the present consumer complaint be dismissed as withdrawn being fully satisfied. Statement of complainant to this effect has been recorded separately.

3.   In view of the statement made by the complainant, the present consumer complaint is dismissed as withdrawn being fully satisfied. The OP No.1 and complainant shall remain bound by their statements made on 16.02.2024. The award is accordingly passed.

4.   Certified copies of this order be sent to the parties free of cost. The file be consigned.
