The present case pending before us pertains to “Theft of Electricity”.

2.       In view of  the order passed by Hon’ble Supreme Court in “U.P.Power Corporation Ltd. and Others Vs. Anis Ahmed” (Civil Appeal No.5466 of 2012 decided on 1.7.2013), the complaint filed by the Respondent/Complainant in the present case before the District Forum under the Consumer Protection Act, 1986, is not maintainable.

3.       Consequently, present revision petition is allowed and the complaint filed before the District Forum is hereby dismissed.  However, liberty is granted to the respondent to seek appropriate remedy available to him before the appropriate  Forum.
