                                                                                        JUDGMENT

            Brief fact of the case is that complainant is a consumer of opposite parties having consumer No.080008821748 and paid electric bill regularly to the opposite parties. During the electric connection to the house of complainant the service wire was lying upon two bamboos before connecting the house of complainant and the same was in dangerous condition as the service wire carries the electric current and very often during cyclonic wind the wire was fallen down causing danger to the family members of complainant as well as other general public. Complainant convey the matter to the opposite parties verbally several times and finally on 18.6.2024 he sent a written complaint to the opposite parties office and they received it but till date they did not do anything, hence this complaint. 

            Notice was issued to the opposite parties and opposite parties submitted an estimate of Rs.30,180/- for the extra pole there is no inspection report along with the statement.

            When there is risk factor to the consumer and being the credential consumer of opposite parties the complainant requested very often to make arrangement of another pole to his house for safety of service line but the opposite parties did not do anything which is negligence in nature of the opposite parties which has caused deficiency in service on the part of the opposite parties.

            The opposite parties are directed to install another pole near the premises of complainant in a subsidized price for pole as a result the service line will be in a safe position for life risk of the family of complainant as well as general public. The opposite parties shall provide the estimate within 14 days and complainant shall deposit the amount within a week thereafter and there after the opposite parties shall install the pole within a period of 10 days after deposit of the amount. Thus entire exercise shall be completed within a month i.e. 30 days from the date of receipt of the order. With the aforesaid observation and direction the consumer complaint is disposed of. No cost.
