This is a complaint filed by the complainant questioning the act of opposite party in selling mineral water bottle for more than the MRP rate and stated that the opposite party has indulged in Unfair trade practice and sought for issue of notice to the opposite party. The Hon’ble Supreme Court in its decision reported in AIR 1972 page 1131 has held that the hotels can charge more than as there is no bar under the act for charging more than the MRP rate, then the complaint in view of the above is not maintainable and therefore is dismissed at the stage of admission.
