Heard. This is the case of the complainant that he applied for Insurance Policy on 25.01.2022 and deposited the premium and Policy was issued to him and on 26.01.2022 (wrongly written as 26.01.2023 in Para 3) his Scooter was stolen and as such he applied for claim but his claim was ultimately rejected on the ground that there was no policy of the Scooter on 26.01.2022.  It is further submitted that had there been no Insurance Policy then why Star Services, the authorized person of OP would be demanding documents from them.  Therefore, he has filed the present complaint thereby claiming full Insurance of the Scooter, with compensation.    

The Commission has perused the record, the policy is running from 27.01.2022 to 26.01.2023.  Admittedly, the Scooter has been stolen on 26.01.2022 and therefore there was no  valid Insurance on the date of theft of the vehicle as stated.  Present claim therefore in the present form is not maintainable against Insurance Co., when the complainant had no Insurance Policy on the date of theft of the Scooter and is accordingly rejected.
