ORDER

        Learned counsel for the appellant and representative of respondent are present.

2.     Heard learned counsel for the appellant and representative of the respondent.

3.     Learned counsel for the appellant submitted that the complainant has taken power supply from the OPs having Consumer No.Co. 613. It is submitted that during  the period Covid – 19, the business premises of the complainant was closed for which there was no power consumption from March, 2020 to October, 2020  but the O.Ps have calculated the electric bill arbitrarily. The appellant filed representation before the OPs for revision of the bill. Though the OPs revised the electricity bill to some extent but did not supply the copy of the revised statement to the complainant. As such, alleging deficiency in service on the part of the OPs, complainant filed the complaint before the learned District Forum. But the learned District Commission, Cuttack dismissed the complaint being devoid of any merit. Challenging the dismissal order, complainant filed the appeal.

4.      Representative of the O.Ps submitted that they have verified the premises of the complainant and accordingly the bill has been raised.

 5.         Considered the submission of respective parties and perused the DFR including the impugned order.

6.      We do not find any reason to call for DFR because the impugned order shows that in absence of complainant the complaint was dismissed without any evidence taking into consideration. After going through the submission of both parties, we think it proper to direct the complainant/appellant to submit a representation within 15 days from today before the Executive Engineer who would consider the same in accordance with law and answer to the complainant within one month date of receipt of the representation.

 7.         In view of the above facts and circumstances, the appeal is disposed of accordingly. No cost.
