BEFORE THE LOK ADALAT HELD IN DISTRICT CONSUMER DISPUTES REDRESSAL FORUM–II, U.T. CHANDIGARH Consumer Complaint No.517 of 2011 Divanshu Jain & anr. Vs. Etihad Airways & anr. PRESENT: Complainant No.1 in person alongwith Sh.Gaurav Bhardwaj, Counsel for Complainants. Sh.Karanvir Singh, Counsel for OP No.1. OP No.2 already ex-parte. Dated the 23rd day of November, 2012 ORDER 1. A compromise has been arrived at between the parties with the efforts of Lok Adalat. 2. Sh.Karanvir Singh, Counsel for OP No.1 has made the following statement, recorded separately:- “The OP No.1 offers to pay a sum of Rs.25,000/- each to both the complainants in full and final settlement of the dispute. The above said amount shall be paid within 30 days from today” 3. Sh.Gaurav Bhardwaj, Counsel for Complainants, alongwith complainant No.1, made the following statement, recorded separately:- “I have heard the above statement made by Counsel for OP No.1. I accept the offer. The case may be disposed of accordingly.” 4. In view of the statements made by the parties, it is ordered that OP No.1 shall pay a sum of Rs.25,000/- each to both the complainants in full and final settlement of the dispute, within 45 days from today, failing which the OP No.1 shall be liable to pay the said amount alongwith interest @ 18% p.a. from the date of this order till the date of payment. 5. Hence, the complaint is disposed of accordingly. 6. Certified copy of this order be communicated to the parties free of cost. After compliance file be consigned.
