These revision petitions are directed against the orders of the State Commission dated 2.3.2016 whereby the said Commission condoned the delay of 59 days in filing appeal by the respondents against the order of the District Forum, subject to payment of Rs.5,000/- each as cost.

We have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and considered the grounds given in the applications, which the respondent had filed, for condonation of delay in filing the appeals. The delay in filing the appeals is attributable to the illness of the counsel who was to draft and file the same.

In the facts and circumstances of the case, we find no good reason to interfere with the discretion exercised by the State Commission in condoning the delay of 59 days, which in our opinion cannot be said to be inordinate or excessive. The revision petitions are, therefore, dismissed.
