ORDER

ORDER (ORAL)

The present Appeal, under Section 51 of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 (for short “the Act”), has been filed by the Opposite Party against the order dated 05.07.2023 of the State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Delhi (for short “the State Commission”) in IA No.1610 of 2022 in Complaint No.118 of 2022.  The said Application was filed by the Opposite Party seeking Condonation of delay in filing of their Written Statement.  The State Commission dismissed the Application on the ground that there was no proper explanation offered

-2-

by the Opposite Party for the delay and that the Opposite Party had miserably failed to give any acceptable and cogent/sufficient reason to condone the delay.

2.      Heard.  After some submissions by the learned Counsel for the Appellant, it is evident that the Appellant was represented before the State Commission by a Counsel duly authroised.  The State Commission after duly considering the submissions made by the Opposite Party has found no reason to condone the delay in filing of the Written Statement.  We see no reason to interfere with the impugned order.  The Appeal is dismissed in limine.
