CONSUMER COMPLAINT NO. 30  OF  2023

AWARD

1.   Vide his separate statement recorded on 06.07.2023, Sh.Rahul Makkar, Counsel for OP has stated that the matter has been settled between the parties and as per settlement, the OP shall pay a lumpsum amount of Rs.80,000/- to the complainant within a period of 30 days from 06.07.2023 in full and final settlement of the present matter, failing which the OP shall be liable to pay the aforesaid amount alongwith interest @ 12% p.a. from the date of filing of present consumer complaint. Vide his separate statement recorded on 06.07.2023, Sh.Ajit Singh, Special Power of Attorney Holder of Complainant has admitted the aforesaid statement of counsel for OP and prayed that the complaint be disposed of in terms of aforesaid settlement.

2.        In view of the statements of the parties and in terms of the settlement, the complaint stands disposed of by passing the following order:-

     (i)  The OP shall pay a lumpsum amount of Rs.80,000/- to the complainant within a period of 30 days from     06.07.2023.

     (ii) In case OP fails to pay the aforesaid amount    within the stipulated period, then OP shall be liable to   pay the aforesaid amount alongwith interest @ 12% p.a.     from the date of filing of present consumer complaint     i.e. 18.01.2023 till its realization.

3.        The award is accordingly passed.

4.        Certified copies of this order be sent to the parties free of cost. The file be consigned.
