Matter was passed over. On the second call also, there is no appearance on behalf of the appellants. Present appeal came up for hearing for the first time before this Commission on 10.1.2014. Counsel for appellants filed an application seeking exemption from filing of typed copies as well English translation of the documents on the ground that the appellant is very poor and is unable to bear the cost of typing and translation. Accordingly, the matter had been listed on 15.1.2014. On that day, counsel for appellants had appeared and it was observed ; ppellants have sought cost of replacement of the lost articles/items amounting to Rs.16 lacs. Under these circumstances, by no stretch of imagination, it can be said that the appellants are economically unsound Thereafter, appellants were directed to file fair typed copies of the documents in English which are hand written and are in Hindi, within two weeks and matter had been adjourned for today, i.e, 23.07.2014. Since, appellants have failed to remove the defects inspite of availing of various opportunities nor there is any appearance on behalf of the appellants since morning, the present appeal stand dismissed in default as well as for non-compliance of the order passed by this Commission. File be consigned to record room.
