Consumer Complaint No.230 of 2012

Sh.Nitin Thatai, Counsel for OPs.

 

Dated the 7th day of September, 2012

 

ORDER

1.         A compromise has been arrived at between the parties with the efforts of Lok Adalat. Sh.Nitin Thatai-Counsel for OPs has made the following statement, recorded separately:-

“The Opposite Parties offers to refund a sum of Rs.20,000/- to the complainant alongwith interest @ 10% p.a. from 14.01.2012. The above said amount shall be paid within 45 days from today”

 

2.         The complainant has accepted the offer and made the following statement, recorded separately:-

“I have gone through the statement made by Sh.Nitin Thatai-Counsel for OPs. I accept the offer. The case may be disposed of accordingly”

 

3.         In view of the compromise arrived at between the parties, it is ordered that the Opposite Parties shall refund a sum of Rs.20,000/- to the complainant alongwith interest @ 10% p.a. from 14.01.2012, within 45 days from today i.e. 07.09.2012, failing which the Opposite Parties shall be liable to pay the amount alongwith interest @ 18% p.a. from 14.01.2012 till its realization.

4.         Hence, the complaint is disposed of accordingly.

5.         Certified copy of this order be communicated to the parties free of cost. After compliance file be consigned.
