Present:         Counsel for the Appellant.

                     Sh. G.P. Singh, Counsel for the Respondent.

        It is stated that the matter has been amicably settled between the parties.

        It is stated that the appellant shall pay a sum of Rs. 1,00,000/- to the respondent/complainant in full and settlement of his claims which he had filed before the District Forum.

        Counsel for the respondent states that he has instructions from the respondent and the matter has been settled as per terms stated above.

        Counsel for the appellant undertakes to send a cheque of Rs. 1,00,000/- in favour of the respondent within 4 weeks from today at the residential address of the respondent.

        Since the matter has been amicably settled, the impugned order stands modified in terms of settlement between the parties.

        The appeal stands disposed of accordingly.

        After the cheque has been given to the respondent, the FDR deposited in this Commission be released in favour of the appellant.

        File be consigned to record room.
