            We find prima faice case issue notice.

            The application dated 18/07/2018 filed by the Complainant Smt. Pabitra De against the O.P W.B.S.E.D.C.L for passing interim order under section 13(3B) CP Act 1986 is taken up for hearing treating the same as M.A Case No. 80/2018.

            Perused the Complaint, interim application and document. Heard Ld. Advocate/agent of Complainant.

            We find that it is the case of the Complainant that she is poor widow and day laborer. She has an Electric Connection being I/D No. 500402873 under O.P W.B.S.E.D.C.L Suri. She came to notice that her Electric meter is defective. She informed the matter to O.P. But no consequence.

            Rather the O.P sends an excessive Bill of Rs.2167/- for the period December 17 to February 18 and they also threatened that if she fails to pay Rs. 3635/- within19/07/2018 the Electric line will be disconnected.

            Hence this application.

            Copy of the money receipts show that Complainant paid Rs. 659/- as Electric Bill for August 17 to October 17.

            Copy of letter dated 03/07/2017 issue by the O.Ps show that the meter of Compliant is defective.

            So it is clear that inspite of defective meter the O.Ps are sending excessive Bill.

In this juncture without going into the merit of the case we think Electricity is most essential part of the Human life in the present day situation. And we think ends of justice would be met up if the Complainant is directed to pay lump sum amount to O.P and O.P is to direct not to disconnect the line. Accordingly prayer for interim order is allowed.

            The Complainant is direct to deposit Rs. 659/- of the O.P the W.B.S.E.D.C.L within 7 days from this day and the O.P is directed not to disconnect the Electric Connection of the Complainant being I/d No. 500402873 till 30/08/2018.

            Deposited amount will be adjusted with Electric Bill of the Complainant.

            The Complainant is also directed to pay the current Bill month by month/ quarterly. The O.P/W.B.S.E.D.C.L is to draw the Bill as per rule regarding defective meter.

 Fixed 30/08/2018 for appearance to O.P.

            The copy of the order be supplied the parties at free of cost.

            The Copy of the order be sent to O.P W.B.S.E.C.L Suri through speed post for Compliance.
