    Angry Pureit compact complaint

    I have been raising a complaint to Hindustan Unilever since July and am yet to get a satisfactory response.

    Have written to them atleast 7 to 8 times but no reply to my complaint.

    The Pureit Compact supplied to me is faulty and is now useless.

    Their service is horrible.

    I want a full refund as i dont have any faith in their service anymore.

    Kindly assist me in getting back my money that i wasted on my pureit.

    Still No support from the Pureit People.

    This is the pathetic level of support they are giving.

    I wonder if anyone from their end is even reading this.

    Is it just your local service person who is incompetent or is it the full service network of the company including your Customer Service Managers and higher authority who have no power to take a call on the refund.

    It is more shocking than anything else to see how pathetic your service is.

    Still no response.

    How can i escalate this matter?

    I was on call with Pureit help line and have been told that inspite of their total lack of service they will not be refunding any money to me.

    They also instead said that they will give me Rs. 300/- discount if i buy their more expensive purifier.

    Total mockery of SERVICE.....

    Please someone advise how i can take them to Consumer Court and get my money.

    Dear Sir,
    I had purchase the Pureit Compact sometime in June 2011 for my daily water needs.
    After i had started using the purifier regularly i started noticing an oily residue being formed on the purified water surface in the storage are.
    I immediately raised a compliant for it and in a couple of days an engineer from Pureit came to inspect. He said that there was some issue, made same changes, replaces some parts and told us that the matter was resolved.
    But in about 4 to 5 days i faced the same issue again.
    I again raised a complaint. The engineer again came and did something, this time assuring us that matter was resolved.
    But again in a few days the same issue came about.
    As always, not that it was a routine I raised a complaint. But this time no one turned up for the repairs or inspection.
    After about 10 days when i call up the help line, to my shock i was told that there were no records of my complaint and that i had never called before this.
    I was surprised but none the less raised another complaint.
    After getting no response for about a week, I called up the help line once again and to my horror i was told that there was no complaint registered. All this while i was regularly sending emails to the pureit support email id, but was not getting any response to any of those either.
    It was now close to 40 - 50 days since i had got my purifier repaired. Since i was not getting any response from Pureit i was forced into spending more money and buying a purifier of another brand to fulfill my drinking water needs. If only they had responded serviced/repaired/replaced my pureit i would never have had to buy another purifier.

    Then I finally wrote a complaint on this website. I got a call from them in a few days telling me that their engineer will come and inspect.
    When the engineer came to inspect he said that there was some fault in the system and it would need to be replaced.
    I told him the entire story as above and also informed him that due to Pureits lack of service response i was forced to buy another purifier which was working just fine so now a replacement by pureit was of no use for me. Hence I requested him to take this as a special complaint and work out a refund for my pureit.
    I was told that this was not in his hands and that he will discuss with his supervisors.
    But after that day i have never heard from the Pureit service team even once.
    Today 15th Sept. 2011 when I call the pureit help line to follow up on my complaint I was again told that there was no record of mine available with them.
    Not surprised this time as i had experienced this before I just told him to take up my complaint and escalate it to his floor manager.
    I spoke with Mr. Ajinkya. I told him the entire story so far and requested him to either arrange a refund or let me speak to someone who has authority at his end who can look into this complaint.
    Mr Ajinkya kept informing me that doing a refund was against the company policy. I kept reminding him that this was a special case and if not him then some senior should look into my case which as per me is a genuine one. He said that they do not have a policy to refund any money and their current monsoon offer is on so i can send in my Pureit compact and avail a Rs. 300.00 discount on one of their more expensive purifiers.
    So not only am i not getting the service i desired, not only did I have to spend more money from my pocket so that i could get another purifier to fulfill my drinking water needs, not only did the company supply me with a faulty product through their retail outlets and not support to rectify the fault in time, now they are asking me to spend more money to buy another of their more expensive products.
    Due to this entire episode I now have no faith in the service provided by Hindustan Uilever and would definately think ten times over before I purchase one of their products.
    I request someone to look into my complaint and help me get back my money that i have spent on this worthless Pureit Compact.

    Angry Problem in service

    Called PureIt customer care (09223200200) on 29/04/2012 at 11.17 AM regarding the problem of my HUL PureIt. They have given the reference number / customer ID : 1931174595.

    I was told that service executive will come to our home but today I got a call that my home is not in the service area. How could the city like Nainital (my home is just 1/2 hour drive from Nainital) is non-service area. TATA Swach : NANOTECH WATER PURIFIER are giving door service then why should one prefer PureIt. I am gonna take this issue to consumer court as my uncle work there. some Mr. Aakash Verma (Service Manager-PureIt) called me from 9557299133 called me and he looked quite adamant to cooperate. He is asking me to take machine to his home (around 60 km from my home). who will be responsible for wear & tear (if happens at the time of transport) ???
    Now I got the sms that the service request has been closed. Disgusting behavior of HUL's staff. I am looking for a positive & early response.

    Post Bad service of Pureit-----they did not deleiver the Germ Kit

    Hi All,

    I booked germ kit of pureit on 28th June. But today is 4th July and i did not get the same till now.

    I also called severl time on pureit compaint number but no response from their side.

    I can not believe this. No hope now from these careless people.

    Default Pure It Faulty Battery

    Hi,
    We are using pure it from last two years, we usually order battery from from them in every 6 months. This time again on 8th June we have ordered battery which was expensive from the earlier order, as stated by Pure It customer care executive the earlier battery was purifying 1000 l of water and new battery which they insisted us to order will purify 3000 l of water (amounting Rs. 800 approx) and will work for atleast 8-10 months. We have paid extra charges and bought that battery from their executive trusted pure it services. But this new battery is showing red alert only after two months, how can we consume 3000 l of water in just 2 months. I have placed the complaint to pure it expert (Ravi) on 8th of Aug (complaint # C124389959), they promised to get this resolved within 48 hrs , since then i have been calling them to resolve the issue but everytime they messaged us new complaint # - C124390448 (10TH AUG) & C124393237 (10TH AUG) mentioning that complaint has attended when no one has resolved the issue. I have also spoken to floor incharge, also got call from bangalore (Rakesh contact # 08067335200 - 11th Aug) for inquiring the complaint but no one has turned up to resolve the issue. We have not expected such services and false commitment from Pure it. It would be great if you can take some quick action to resolve my complaint.
