    Default Defective Samsung Washer WA5451ANW

Today I received a call at work from my wife telling me that our washer had literally exploded in our garage. We have only had this washer for three months. The explosion actually pushed our dryer two feet to the side, it also created a hole in the wall and another one in the dryer. The washer top part seem to have become dislocated from the unit and the washer itself ended up two feet in front of where it was based. Luckily no one in my family was in front of it otherwise it would have been a disaster. We called Lowe's Extended Protection but the earliest they could come out to examine the washer was three days from now, even after telling them how serious the issue was-not acceptable. I hope Samsung can find out what caused this before anyone gets hurt by this defective washer.

Default Samsung Washer WA5471AB Is Defective and Dangerous

Today my Samsung washer exploded. We just bought this washer from Lowes this past Nov 2011, and have had it or about 6 weeks. Today while washing bed sheets, I heard a loud noise, as if bookshelves were falling off a wall. I went into the laundry room to find the washer more than 2 feet from its original location with the top portion severed from the bottom and 2 metal pieces that flew across the laundry room. In addition, the after the explosion, the washer was still running. I hit the power button and then noticed that the detergent drawer was missing. I still have yet to find the drawer, my guess it that it's in between the drum and exterior case. I wish I could post a picture.
I called Samsung and filed a complaint. They said someone would call me within 24-48 hours. I also called Lowes and A&E. Nobody can come out to see it for 6 days! I found this to be ridiculous. This is a serious problem! Somebody can have been seriously hurt if they were in the room at the time of the explosion! This machine needs to be pulled from the market, as after research, i've seen tat this as happened to others.

We purchased this washer from Best Buy and it is less than six months old. Today the washer exploded! I had just finished checking the remaining time on the cycle 19 minutes, turned to walk out to check on my children and the loud noise started turned back around to find my washing machine now pulled out from the wall and turned towards the door. Two pieces of metal where on the floor and the top of the washer is now about four inches to the left of where it should be. The body of the machine is no longer square and my LG dryer has a few scratches and one dent now. Called Samsung and someone will be contacting us in the next two days. Best Buy is sending a repair man out tommrow afternoon. This machine is so unsafe I still can't believe what happened. I was washing a bed cover, the same size as a bed sheet, not bulky at all. So thankful no one was hurt
