Hi,
I'm a resident of Chennai. I purchased a Whirlpool washing machine (WM) AMC on 25-Apr-2011
Receipt# 12875 via Serco BPO Pvt. Ltd.
The recorded my WM serial Number and states that the AMC is for 1 year on the receipt. There is no mention of start/end date on the contract document. The representative who collected cash payment stated that the AMC will start from 26-Apr-2011.
I raised a complain with Whirlpool to repair my WM, Complaint No.411059698, on 28-Apr-2011. The techinican on arrival refused to service my machine stating that the AMC is still not started and it will take 20 days from the receipt date for the AMC to be effective.

No such 20 day clause is listed in the contact document or on the AMC receipt. I have called the Whirlpool customer care to get clarification and they have been advicing me that the issue will be resolved in the next 2hrs and the AMC dept. will call me to resolve this. I have been calling them for the last 3 days and they have given me a different number to connect with to get resolution.

Please advice on next steps.
