We have an IFB Supremo DX model front loading washing machine. It was bought in 1998 end and it provided trouble free service till Dec 2004. Suddenly the whole picture changed for us.

1. The main bearing of the machine was replaced in Dec 2004 by an authorized technician of IFB at a phenomenal cost as the machine was out of warranty.
2. The same bearing of the machine failed again in Sep 2006 and was replaced again against payment (not under AMC).
3. The same bearing failed again in Dec 2007 and was treated similarly.
4. In Sep 2008 we decided to take the AMC cover looking at the frequency of failures.
5. In April 2009 this bearing started making noise again and we lodged a complaint with IFB. The company technician visited and advised change of the bearing again. Since he was not qualified he promised to send the senior technician soon.
6. This senior technician never came and after several follow ups with the technician we decided to call IFB again. To our utter dismay we found that our complaint had been closed by the service franchisee. A new complaint was opened on 25 May 2009.
7. On 27 May a technician came at 7 PM and replaced the bearing and left in a hurry as it was late. When we tried to use the machine on the next day it was not usable as the drum was vibrating violently and hitting the walls of hte machine.
8. This problem was brought to the notice of IFB on 28 May and it is 30 May today and we are still waiting for response from the company.

It is our belief that if the service call is paid one the agencies send the technician fast. If it is an AMC call where they have already received the full amount there is no response from anybody: a) IFB company or b) their service franchisees

I would like the company to refund the entire AMC amount so I could use it to part pay the purchase of a new machine rather than suffering this torture perpetually.
