Whirlpool has worst after sales service in the industry. I am victim of of
whirlpool antipathy when my refrigerator got busted in searing summer heat last
year and horrible days I spent barking on phone inspite of so called AMC I had
for that product. A month later the refrigerator was repaired.
Now I advise everybody not to buy whirlpool products.
Generally we have consumer good of all make and brands in our homes and you can
judge yourself who has the best after sales service.

I agree Whirlpool provides a nasty service after sale, and those who are
Whirlpool washing the service person will convience you for AMC and another
product called strait he will it must be fixed with the water inlet pipe so that
it will reduce the soil substance in the bore water and it cost Rs. 1800/- and
once in 6 months a liquid will be refilled in that, I purchased it and 6 months
over no body turned called up that guy no responds finally opened that product
to see what kind of liquid in that it only a pastic cylinder with small hole in
it for the water to pass through inside some magentic substance placed there is
provision to fill liquid. I was a "JACK ASS" that day, one day WHIRLPOOL will
look into the mirror to find its as "JACK ASS".

I would suggest you to cover up all your discussions in writing so that there is
sufficient documentary evidence to support your case.Even after telephonic
conversation, pl confirm the same in writing.Do not wait for the reply from
Company or their vendors.This would give you advantage to seek claims or
compensations.

I purchased a whirlpool washing machine on Sept.12, 2007 at Visakhapatnam. In April of 2009 it stopped working, I registered a complaint and within 2 weeks they fixed the machine (under warranty), again in June it broke down, again within two weeks they came and fixed it. In August it broke down yet again, after one month they replaced the digital control panel, september 11l (was also replaced in April) with a faulty one that didn't work. They came the next day to say that we needed another replacement. The warranty was scheduled to run out on September 12th, my husband was calling the local office daily two times for the repair and I was calling the main number in Chennai. I was assured that this complaint was registered and the part cost would be covered because my complaint was pending from August, but the Visakhapatnam office said we would have to pay 3,800 rupees for the part! They purposefully lied and said to the main office that the complaint was not made by us until september 23rd. I am so upset and ashamed of them. I refuse to give in to their corrupt and dishonest practices. Yesterday I bought a new Samsung machine and traded in my Whirlpool for only 500 rupees!!!! I advise that anyone thinking to buy a Whirlpool product in India, better think again. Many Many people are getting ripped off!!!

To get any solution for your complaint kindly send a complaint letter to the Head Office of the Co. Send it through registered post and keep a copy of that letter also. Hope you will get any positive response from there.
