I Bought a Samsung fully auto washing machine in 07/01/2006. I used in only twice a month, for washing bed spreads and pillow covers only.Recently problem started as water leakage from bottom.I called customer care , they visited (on 10/12/09)and told that drum needs replacement, will cost Rs 3000/-(cost of washing machine was Rs 11,350/-).
One person came to take the washing machine without intimating me, but i turned it out ,since there is nothing improvement with communication to service centre.He also told the drum looks good , as rarely used.
I wonder how soon it can go faulty, as not even it was used 125 times through out within the 4 years.
Even if i change the drum for Rs 3000/- what is the guarantee, that it will not create problem again?I called customer care and fired today(24/12/09) morning, then they assured me that service person will call me on this.
A person namely PRABU called me and told that he can replace the drum at the cost of mine( or he can get the discount of 30% on spare if possible), and cant assure that the same problem can recur again.
If that is the case, how much i can keepon spending on the spares, which may one time overtake the cost of washing machine.
So MY request is that SAMSUNG SHOULD CHANGE THE DRUM FREE OF COST, BECAUSE OF THE NONE FAULT OF MY SIDE( RARELY USED).
Kindly reply me whether i can claim the drum fault as SAMSUNGs defective part?
