I made an online reservation recently via indiahotels.com to stay 3 nights in a hotel at T Nagar Chennai on 14 Jan 2012. Everything was real, credit card payment approval, booking confirmation approval via email, and of course the website details. To my surprise, when I checked in late night at EVP Capitol on 25 Jan, the reception counter mentioned that they do not know who indiahotels.com is, and there is no agreement with such company. That news was a disaster for me as I was already tired traveling from other part of Tamil Nadu. I tried to convince them but to my dismay, indiahotels.com don't even have a customer service phone no. for me/them to contact and verify the details. They only have an email but don't expect any reply as they are dummy. Since i was tired, I decide to pay and sent an email to custserv@indiahotels.com on the issue. As expected, no reply till today. I have to double pay to stay 3 nights in Chennai. Lost around INR8484.

So people out there, please note that indiahotels.com is a fraud website and do not trust most of the online travel agents India. Unless you make a call to the hotel, and confirm that they have a tie up with such companies prior to place an online booking.
