I had booked a room in the Hotel "The White Cloves" for 31st December 2011 for 1 Night (Trip ID #1112263678) for 2 Adults. But at the reception we were told that Delhi Residents were not allowed to stay in the Hotel. We were unaware of this clause as also it was not mentioned any where in Terms and Conditions nor the cleartrip informed me on any such case.
Although the following statement was written under "Additional Information" section on the Cleartrip voucher clearly stating:
"Your hotel has laid down some rules, and it's our job to let you know what they are."
and yet no information was provided.
We had a discussion with the hotel Manager also and he assured us that money will be refunded by cleartrip.com and he also discussed the same with his cleartrip agent as he had faced another such issue earlier.
I had sent a mail regarding this to Cleartrip as well as the Hotel White Clove but I only have received 1 response stating they have forwarded the request to concerned department. I also had a conversation with a cleartrip executive on 1st January 2012 and it was conveyed to me that refund usually takes 5-7 working days and I will be receiving a call in couple of days addressing my issue but i have not received any response, not even by mail after sending repeated reminders.
