    Subject: - No confirmation on Refund and Withdrawal of Application for CMHM

    As per the request made by your sales Representative (Simi) at Pacific Mall, Ghaziabad, We visited the office on 2nd Jan 2012 at 7:00 PM. Based on the offer and the presentation given my Mr. Sumeet Sinha (T.O. Manger, representing MHRIL, Pitampura Delhi -110034-, contact no. 9999799331) and Mr. Bhuwan, Contact no. 09818818414), I applied for the membership by paying Rs. 27,500 and signing an ECS of 7014 as EMI.

    Next morning, after going through the detail and terms and condition, I found that the plan given for CMHM is not same as projected. The CMHM is for the person who tries to plan their holiday for long terms, while your sales representative clearly mentioned that after 3 EMI i.e. payments of Rs 48542 ( 27500+ 3X 7014) , you can walk out from the plan with no additional cost. Just after signing the document and ECS authorization, I realized that this is an agreement for total membership and if I take plan for 3 months it would be a cheating to the Club Mahindra, Hence I communicated not to proceed further. The sales Representative cited that you can withdraw the application in next 10 days as per your Membership Rules part C- Clause 6.1,

    On 3rd Jan 2012, I decided finally cancel & withdraw the application, and communicated the sales representative to withdraw the membership application, further when I tried to contact the sales person, Nobody was willing to talk to us by making wrong reasons (I am out of office today, like Office is closed tomorrow, don’t worry, we will refund the money, - which not true either). After going through the threads on website, I found that this is the routine case and hence mailed the detail on 3rd Jan 2012 to the email id- sumeet.kumar@mahindraholidays.com given to me (handwritten email id given to me).

    In absence of any Response of the mail and new application enrollment confirmation SMS from TD-CLUBMH ( which should not be processed as I asked for withdrawal of application ), I forwarded the email and requested the cancellation and refund of money on 4th Jan 2012 to feedback@clubmahindra.com, indu.mrc@mahindraholidays.com, headmemberelations@clubmahindra.com, qrc@clubmahindra.com,

    I am writing this complaint to ask Following clarification:-
    1. When I will get the cancellation confirmation and my money Rs. 27,500/
    2. When I will get the confirmation that the ECS authorization is withdrawn and cancelled.
    3. Why Such a beautiful business model has been distorted to a cheating centre,
    4. After thousands of threads about poor customer service , extremely pathetic sales behavior, lowest level of trust, degradation of Mahindra’ s brand equity; what steps company have to taken to stop this.
    Requesting you to please clarify and help us.
    In absence of any response on cancellation confirmation and money refund within 48hrs, I am forced to float the case to different media house and Central Government agencies apart from consumer court and file the legal case against the Company and sales representative.

    This is to share my experience with Club Mahindra (CM). Here, I want to state that I am really very upset with the kind of response I have received from Club Mahindra regarding my membership cancellation and the way membership was sold. The issue is regarding misguiding and misleading the members like me who really trusted your brand name.

    We got a call from CM in middle of 2009 and a sales guy came to our house. At that time he promised us so many things. We opted to take the white studio for 7 days an year. He had promised that CM will help in selling a few days per year so that the ASF is covered that way. Also he said that CM will help in cancelling the membership and getting us refund of the money. They do this all the time by helping to sell the membership. It turned out, which I had no clue at that time that the membership that they sold us was being sold by some one else. Even in the profile page of the member section that old member ship number is showing up. We were new to this country after a long break and this was how we were greeted.

    Then there was a promise of 5 days vacation and we opted to take Coorg during Nov of that year. That was the time when we knew that something was amiss in that whenever we were calling and giving this membership #, it was not recognized in their system. Also the booking to that place was horrible and we didn't know till last minute if that was going to happen. Then on the day before they confirmed everything and gave us a route map which was useless. we had to endure long nights in the terrible forest of Tirunelly and we had to cancel the trip.

    After that one Ms. Binzy took charge and kind of convinced us to go with CM which turned out to be even a greater blunder for us. We paid a huge money in monthly EMI and down payment. We thought she will be able to straighten out our problems and in 2011 asked if we can downgrade instead of continuing to pay this huge EMI. With downgrade she was asking for another payment of exorbitant sum to bring the account to current. At that point we made the final call to cancel this. Now she is saying that CM doesn't owe us anything back.

    And each time for all these requests CM takes their own sweet time. each call gets returned after 2 weeks and then we have to follow up again to see the status. Dealing with a government office was better than this supposedly well-reputed organization. I am at my wits end and would like to get my refund back ASAP.

    If this is not going to materialize soon, I will have to go through common law which frowns upon such corrupt and high handed practices.

    Default Complaint aganist Club Mahindra

    This is to inform you that I raised the request for cancellation of my membership of Club Mahindra and refund of registration fees of Rs 27500 two months back. We were misinformed and mis sold the product by your agent Banibrata who tricked us into paying the above sum of money using credit card on Feb 21st. He did not inform us about the 10 day period in which we could have the down payment refunded if we changed our mind. After couple of weeks when we rang customer service to cancel membership, we were told we could not have any refund as we did not inform them within 10 day period as it is mentioned under some stupid clause. If they expect us to read every term, condition and clause then how come they do not mention the basic right to cancel or refund if the customer changes his mind. They conveniently kept this from us and pushed us into making a payment. We have not availed any service or gift as promised because we were appalled by their service. We feel cheated and deceived.

    I wrote to feedback@clubmahindra.com at least about a dozen times but they do not even care to respond. In my last email, I even told them that if they did not refund my money back then I would take the matter up with consumer court but like always I did not get any response. All these agents do is cheat people of their hard earned money. Association with Club mahindra right from day 1 has resulted in stress, dissatisfaction, deceit, wastage of time and money. Their customer service is the worst I have ever experienced. I am totally fed up of writing to and calling club mahindra. Please help me get back my hard earned money.
