Default Highland Holidays - Cheating the people

    Madam,
I have availed membership in Highland Holiday homes by paying Rs.55000/- in May 2008.
Till today they have not sent my mebership card and behaving in a rude manner.
Especially one girl named' Kushboo" in Pune office.

In Novemebr I asked for booking in Jaipur hotels, they gave the rates as Rs1100+Tax. in two hotels(Arya Niwas), Jaipur Inn.
Normally the rates are Rs2000 to 2500 per night. Because of the menbership it is less like that they told some stories.
    --
To cross check I asked the Arya Niwas hotel, Jaipur, through phone and they confirmed me that it is Rs.1200 per night including tax..
    --
I wrote the above incidents and complained their Head Office, Chennai and asked for cancelling my membership with the interest amount for 2 years.
Now I have approached the Grahak Panchayat in Pune and collecting those people's addresses etc.. to make it as a big issue.
Soon planning to publish in the daily news papers all over India so that appropriate action will be taken to refund the amount to all the people who have been cheated.
I request your kind advice in this matter to get the refund of our money.
    Thanking you,

    Yours Sincerely

Angry Cheated by Highland Holiday Homes

I was called by HHH last April when they called me for discussions about membership after they picked up my land line telephone number at random. They informed me that there would be a FREE GIFT even if I did not take any membership.
Once in , they painted a rosy picture of the company starting with the name of Bajaj, how they have a tie up with so many hotels / resorts in India & abroad, how the facilities would be available all the year round to me and my wife, etc., and went upon throwing one option after another of the membership. Finally they told me that i must make up my mind there and then or the offer would be lost.
Since it was getting late in the evening, I did not go through the papers they gave me, and i signed on the dotted line, thinking that what they told me would all be there in those documents, as indeed they said it would be.
As I got an uneasy feeling after reaching home, I went through the document, and to my horror found that there was a vast difference in what they had said and what was written in the document, so I went back to them the next day and showed the 11 such instances. They denied some things, they tried to explain others etc but I persuaded them to cancel my membership.
They deducted 25% of the amount as "administrative expenses" and returned me the balance. But I told them they must return the entire amount as they A. had not incurred a single re expense on my account and B. In any case the membership being obtained by giving false information was no membership at all.
They are not replying to any of my further letters, but I want to see justice done, as they must understand that you cannot cheat people by lying and get away with it. And I am not going to sit back, and have told them so.

    Default Cheated.

I was called by HHH in Oct'10.They informed me that there would be a FREE GIFT even if I did not take any membership.
Once in , they painted a rosy picture of the company starting with the name of Bajaj, how they have a tie up with so many hotels / resorts in India & abroad, how the facilities would be available all the year round to me and my wife, etc., and went upon throwing one option after another of the membership. As I got an uneasy feeling after reaching home, I went through the document, and to my horror found that there was a vast difference in what they had said and what was written in the document. They told me that i could choose any of the holiday homes they had and if any 1 of them was full they would accommodate me in another. Also , since i was moving base from India to another country was not very interested to take this up , that when they told me that i could rent our 60% of my holidays to them and then i would bet a credit of 1000\- per day of holiday that was rented . But now post reading the doc i have realized that this was incorrect. Later they told me that i could swipe my credit card and convert it to 12 months of interest free EMI which was again incorrect.
    I need your help.

Angry Highland Holiday Homes Pvt. Ltd - false Membershib

Membership sold based on false information by Highland Holiday Homes Pvt. Ltd

We were at Goa. One Person Name Sagot has given us voucher for promotional offers, in that we got an Holiday Package. Then he told us we need to visit the Highland Holiday Office to attend a company presentation to avail it, we were glad and went their office. They presented their membership scheme for a holiday timeshare system with lot of other benefits. We found the membership scheme quite beneficial based on their information and opted for a 5 years, 8days per year membership, costing Rs. 50, 000/- ( Rs. Five Thousand Only). We later came to know that all the information provided was false and the company had cheated us into buying the membership.

The following false information was given in the presentation.

    1) We had purchased the membership on a 12 months EMI plan, using HDFC credit card(35,000/-) and Citibank (15,000/-). The sales person claimed that the company has a tie-up with HDFC and Citibank, the payment would be converted EMIs, and the interest, service charges and service tax would be borne by Highland Holiday Homes. On inquiring with HDFC and Citibank, we were informed that there is no such scheme available and they have no tie up with Highland Holiday Homes.

    2) I have been also informed in presentation by Mr. Zayed Shaikh (Manger, Goa) that, if I am not satisfied with the offer in feature, within time span of 12 months I can cancel my membership.
-- But that was all fake, today I called them (Lisa - 02226434627) saying, I am not happy with your services about the EMI, I want to cancel my membership, then she clearly said please read out your document there is written that you cannot cancel the membership, I was shock to hear that, I requested them, they said you can sell your membership to some there, but I said not I cant who will buy from me.
Then She was very arrogant and said do whatever you want do, will not cancel your policy, regrading EMI will refund you interest rate, but I said what’s guarantee and every month I have to ask for refund and if not paid i am not sure of this, after hearing all the lie from them.

    3) For document part they said one more lie that, what we say will be completed documented, but I am sure what they say is not documented (we trusted them that was big mistake, I am very upset companies in India doing such fraud).
They took sign on paper involving us in lite chat, generally we trust them and also they create such an atmosphere that hardly who not visited them refuse the membership. Kind of Hypnotism.

    4) If they give any assurances in feature will not believe on them, I know they do that.

Team, I need my 50,000/- back please help me, me and my wife are very much in tension. I am not the only one whose suffering, many of them are suffering from this.
I am not sure but, as per Consumer curt also it’s written that we do not use their services and utility we have right to cancel the policy.

    Please help me.
