MakeMyTrip is not providing detailed invoice

    Default MakeMyTrip is not providing detailed invoice

    My name Umashankar, had booked domestic holiday with MakeMyTrip over the phone with their representative. The booking id is IN1109B08365 and total cost of the tour is around 65k.
    During the booking, their representative said he will provide the invoice only after the tour is over. Because to my repetitive inquiry on invoice, he just sent a mail regarding total cost and tour details in a mail but not the invoice. He in fact agreed that MakeMyTrip provides detailed invoice suitable for claiming LTA and it will be available after the tour is over.

    As per my company policy, to claim LTA, invoice should have details of money spent on transportation and only the amount spent on transportation (like airfare, bus fare) is eligible for LTA. And this is the policy every company follows.

    During the trip, even the tour Managers committed that MakeMyTrip provides detailed invoice to claim LTA. They suggested me to send a mail to MakeMyTrip requesting for detailed invoice.

    But now MakeMyTrip is denying the detailed invoice. They just sent an invoice which has full amount I have paid for the tour. But this invoice is not accepted by my company. I have been trying from last 3 months with MakeMyTrip, but their reply is very much limited.

    Because I do not have the detailed invoice, I am not able to claim LTA. I am facing loss around 9k from this.

    Please suggest what should I do now? Do I need to file a complaint in consumer court against MakeMyTrip? Is this case can be a fraud by MakeMyTrip?

    I haven't got any call from customer service representative. So I have sent a mail to triphelp@makemytrip.com. Looks like it has created a SR (reference number:120104-029227)

    Dear Umashankar,

    With reference to your post above, please note that our representative has alreay contacted you regarding your case and you have been informed that as it’s a normal FD package and not booked under LTA scheme so we will not be able provide the breakup invoice.

    Dear Friends

    If you are planning for package trip from MakeMyTrip, Please make sure that you get the invoice before you start the trip. The invoice they are providing is not acceptable for LTA claim.
    If they doesn't agree to provide invoice before the trip, make sure that you get a written proof(may be a email) from them saying you will get detailed invoice later. commitments over the phone will always be dishonored. If nothing works out avoid booking from Make My Trip.
