Sir / Madam,

I am from chennai and i would like to complaint about the ticket fares in MTC
buses. Here in chennai the local transport corporation MTC
plying buses for public convenience, there are many services lie WHITE
Board - which has the least ticket fare(Min. Rs.2/-) then M series
in WHITE Board buses here they add Rs.1/- extra from normal White board
next comes the Yellow board(LSS) then comes GREEN board(EXPRESS) then
comes DLUXE and the last is the A/C(VOLVO). Among these the LSS,
EXPRESS and DELUXE buses have some ticket fares like
Rs.3.50/-,Rs.4.50/-... here most of the conductors are refunding the
change of .50/- paise. By this the conductors are gaining nearly aound
Rs.5000/- a month, let we have a simple and sample calculation, For a
day a conductor will have nearly 3-4 trips, among his trip if the
conductor takes 50 paise from 1 paasenger means in his single trip he
might not refund to nearly minimum of 30 - 40 passengers, so totally in
his whole day duty he might not refunded the amount of Rs.200 - Rs.300.
In a month of time if we calculate nearly a lum sum amount will be
gained by the conductors, which are not given to the counters or to the
depo. More over to his salary this amount will get added to every
conductors.

Also recently the ticket fares are get raised because of the pertol
& Diesel price raised, but even after the Petrol & Diesel price
cut down the ticket fares are not reduced.


I like to suggest the either the ticket fares to get reduced or the
fares having the .50 paise should get removed such that the Ticket of
Rs.3.50/- to get reduced to Rs.3.00/- and the same for remaining.

If this happens then public will also get satisfied by the fares and
the correct ticket amount will be given by the public to the conductors.


Please take some action over my complaint as soon as possible.

I need some clarification about 30 ruppee ticket.The ticket backside are the rules of the ticket usage.There is no thing that,After 10 pm of the day is not valid the ticket,But the
the conductor say that,its not valid after 10pm.Suppose i dont have extra money what can i do.one day night have the same proplem with the conductor.

Both side are correct may be,As per the instruction of the mtc department conductors said,But how we know that,so Convey the message to all paassengers or print the rules in the ticket backside then only we can avoid unnecessary problems in daily life.so please find the problem and i belive u will take the action about it.

I have purchased a mobile hand set of SONY ERRICSON during last Feb. which carrys one year warranty.

Ever since I purchased this hand set, I have been facing innumarable problems with its poor performance. I have brought about the problem faced, to the knowledge of the sercice company, which is done by out sourcing process, by appointing a different company to carry out the repairs/service. I have been going to the one of the service centres in chennai located on Greams Road.

Because, we are forced to depend on them for any defects to be rectified, they take it for granted that what ever they say, we have to go by their attitude. They care little about resolving the issue. Every time I visit them it takes about a few hours of waiting for the turn to come to contact the concerned person at the service counter. when it comes they do not listen about the problems experienced and defending on any of the defects explained. More over, each time after the service/repairs done, again same problem recur and another problem arise.

In the last more than 8 years, I have used so many models of other brand Mobile handset, in which I have faced such a problem. Now the warranty expires by the coming feb, I do not whom some responsible person to be approached to resolve the issue.

I do not have enough time to run after this people and causes unplasant times.

im mownish, leaving in omr road.im student of hindustan university,padur.i daily use A.C bus for going to my collage.the only two reasons i use is because it is comfortable,n it drops me at my stop,where only white board buses stop(R.R.E stop).but from last one week,19B A.C driver is refusing to drop me at my stop,n behaving very harsh.and to be frank there should be some respect shown to people who travel in A.C bus buying 10-35 rupees ticket.
2 months back i read in a news paper,tht A.C profits went down by 40%.i question u have ever seen any A.C bus around8-9 in the mrng,except 21H at 8.30.my colg is at shrap 9,i cant reach there in time if i take 21H.just try to change the timmings sir.
so i believe tht ull take a right decision n develope the public service.

sir i was coming from avadi to periyapalayam to my office ,i was reached to redhills at 08.30 am on 21.02.2010.then i catch the bus no 592 ( vallalarnagar to periyapalayam) deluxe at redhills .i showed 600 rupees bus pass to him, i want to get down at JNN engineering college stopping to go to my office ,before itself i inform to conductor to stop the bus at stopping but he is arguing with me that is not the bus stop if u want u go and tell to driver, then i ask what is the purpose of you, he didnt reply in bus every one are saying that is bus stop ,but he didnt stop then i get down at next stop and walk for 2 kilometers to my office .so i request u to please take the proper action to that conductor.

Would like to know what is the permissible number of standee passengers in MTC AC buses as the same is not displayed in the bus like in other buses. I am raising this because during peak hours people are allowed to board inspite of having problems in closing the doors and in one instant person next to the door almost fell of when the door was opened because of over crowding.

The goverment was making the peoples mad indirectly. Peoples are also not realising this. What the matter is, MTC raises the bus tickets indirectly by providing Delux buses. But what the buses made Delux. Nothing is there. And compared to ordinary buses, the speed is very very very poor. And also, stops at much stoppings than express buses.
Nowadays, seeing the LSS buses became very rare. In most of the routes, there is no LSS buses.

According to MTC,
1. LSS buses were dropped out and been replaced with Delux buses. So the LSS bus fare becomes double in delux buses with no improvement. Even in some times, we can able to see an old ordinary bus runs as a delux bus. This is very poor. By making this people are paying double fair with same comfortablity.

And also, all the buses coming are only deluxes. No express also.. So how the poor peoples will pay this much fair? So peoples ready to pay are going at less time lack and the poor peoples reaches their place at very very late...
2. The ordinary white board buses are dropped out and replaced by M service by increasing 1 Re/-. (if we tell in tamil -ஊர ஏமாத்துற வண்டி) .

On all, what the worrying thing is,
even on seeing all these, the peoples are not realising on what they are paying, etc... They are not caring about these. Nobody was raising their voices against this. So the government and MTC keeps on enjoying by making the public mad...
And there is much more like this over MTC , if we tell.... So people, wake up and realise....

A new form of cheating is emerging. This happened to me 2 times already. I took the A/C Volvo bus route 114 to Tambaram.

I gave conductor 100 rupees. Cost of ticket was 28 rupees. He gave me back 70 rupees. He did not even bother to tell me that he needs to give me 2 rupees back. He immediately went somewhere else into the crowd before I could ask him.

Conductors like these are cheating by not giving change. I do not know if this has happened to other people, but I was very sad by his conduct.

I thought it was rude. If he wanted money (which is for sure), he can as well ask. I would have given him money like I donate. In the name of transportation and uniform, they cheat.

Watch out for this conductor. Bus # 114, arrives around 7 PM at Vadapalani. It is a A.C Volvo bus.

I have seen many good conductors, but behaviour of a few conductors like this gives a very bad impression overall.

Dear Sir,

I am Jothi. I working in a private company. When i left out from office and i came to depot buses not available (6.30 PM). After came the buses are all delux only. More over the buses are delux and A/C only.

Please be consider the middle people situation and their financial crisis.

This kind of buses only came how can the middle and poor people travel sir.

Am not say to stop the deluxe and A/C buses, people are travel these buses also.

I just say to increase the ordinary buses in office times. Because am also the middle class family sir.

Route no:19D,19P,19K & 119B dont have M prefix in the board. But they usually charge as M service(minimum fare 3Rs). But these nos are ordinary buses but they wont charge as ordinary buses as like 5E(Minimum charge 2RS). These buses runs on OMR road. So MTC makes people mad and confuses them by giving prefix and sufix letters.
