Dear Sir/Madam,
I Amit Kumar Gupta, Indian Passport Holder (Passport No: E2377526) want to draw your kind attention for reimbursement of Missing Items & Important Official documents from my delayed baggage in your Flight No: KL 6034.
Actually I am working with B.M. VAIBHAV CREATIONS, Jaipur. I started my journey from Delhi to Warsaw BIA Amsterdam on 5th of October, 2008 by your Flight No: KL 872/KL 1363. I reached my destination very well. Then I attended Zloto Srebro Czas Jewellary Exhibition (INVITAION COPY ATTACHED) in Warsaw on 5th & 6th of October, 2008. Here I picked up 8 orders of $ 50,000 with some of Artificial Jewellary samples which my company requires for further business. I have also got some Inquiries from Warsaw buyers.
After that I meet some of the prospect buyers & did some shopping. I was returning to Mumbai with one of my colleague BIA your Flight No: KL 1362/ KL 6034. At that time I have taken my VAT refund (copy attach) at Amsterdam Port. After that I was lodging at your Connecting Flight No: KL 6034 (All boarding passes attach) with my 4 Checking Bag in which one is Hand Carry Bag. I gave 3 of my Bags for Cargo and taken my Hand Bag with me which I also carried with me from Warsaw to Amsterdam (for which also having approved cabin baggage certification from Port Authorities). But in Amsterdam your Amsterdam Flight Authorities taken that Hand Bag from me and said that you will receive this bag In Mumbai with same flight Cargo. I requested them a lot that I am having very Important documents & precious Gadgets with their Invoice in this bag so try to carry this bag in same place but they refused my request and ensure me that I will get my things safe. At that time Flight Captain intervene and said that they should return important documents and Gadgets but they did not hear anything and taken that hand bag from me.
When I reach Mumbai Port on 10th of October, 2008 at 23:00 O’clock I waited for my Baggage for around one hour with Flight Captain accompanying me. But when KLM Authorities told me that there was no as such bag of mine in cargo, your Flight captain intervenes & told your authorities about all details of past. Then they tried for one more time. Up till than I got my rest 3 Checking Baggage (tracking No details attach). Then your Authorities have taken a PROPERTY IRREGULARITY REPORT (PIR) with all the details (copy attach) from me and told me that I will receive my Baggage next day morning in Jaipur with all travelling expense occurred for the same. They also gave me a Travel discount Coupon worth € 25 for apology.
Then I came back to Jaipur same day. Next day when I confirmed for my Baggage from your Baggage Department by Phone, they told me that I will get my Bag next day evening. Then I wait till next day evening & on 12 of October I went to Jaipur Airport at 20:00 O’clock & contacted Jet Airways office as told in Mumbai Port by your Authorities. But when they brought my Bag it did not look like the same in size so I opened my Bag in presence of Jet Airways S.S.A. & 3 other people from Jet. I found that all my Important Document with gadgets were not in Bag. Remaining all clothes was as usual. Details of lost Items are below mention:
1. I-Pod Apple 16 GB – 1 No.
2. LG DVD Player – 1 No.
3. Samsung Mobile SGH F480 – 1 No.
4. Sony Digital Camera 10 Mega pixel – 1 No.
5. Artificial Jewellary (Bracelet, Necklace. Earring & rings) – 47 No’s.
6. Adidas Tea shirt – 3 No’s.
7. Black Level Whisky – 2 Bottles.
8. Important Documents – Purchase Orders, Sample Printouts & Inquiries.
Also packet of my lost Samsung Mobile was still in the Bag which was also noticed by Jet Authorities. I was shocked by unprofessionalism of KLM.
Then I gave written complaint to Jet Authorities and they told me that as they are only service provider of KLM they will only send my complaint to KLM. They FAX my complaint & PIR copy to KLM in front of me & gave me receiving with all the details (copy attach). Then they told me that now KLM will contact me very soon. But up till now nobody from KLM Contacted me and when I contacted your Baggage service team (Ms. Priti), they told me that I will send a mail with all details. Here they did not gave me travelling expense.
Now as I have lost so many things this is a very big financial loss for me as I am working as an Executive in B.M VAIBHAV. My company asked me for Purchase Orders, samples & Inquiry and I have nothing to answer. I have started my career just 1 year ago & this was a big break from my company but it turned as a nightmare for me.
Here I just want to know that when & how KLM will reimburse my eternal loss as in financial terms I have to clear all dues which I have taken from my company for this trip, also my whole trip went waste as I have lost all Purchase Orders, Samples & Inquiries.
So I want all my lost material back immediately otherwise my company will throw me out & also sue me for all important documents which will force me to also take a legal action against KLM.
Here as KLM is very professional organization I expect a proper & immediate reply from your side.
