With due respect to hounrable consumer court I would like to register my case (complaint) against a travel website named “makemytrip”. This complained is related to my trip to goa in january. Following is the complete detail for the same.

I thought to visit Goa in end of january and booked my airticket to Goa by using makemytrip as I ususally do whenever I plan some trip. I saw their advertisement about the guranted lowest price for hotel booking and I booked hotel “Ginger” for three nights(30 to 1 feb 2009) and they charged me Rs7782. I was happy that I got the best deal. One of my colleague suggested me to crosscheck from the hotel website whether I got the best deal or not. Real story starts now----

I checked the hotel website and found the same hotel for three nights, same type of room , same occupancy and for same dates just for Rs 4091 , the diffrence is Rs 3691 ,90.35% more then the actual price. I checked it on the same date 28-01-2009.

I called them and they told me to send the screen shot of the same and promised me that they will take action within 48 hours. I waited but did not get any response from them.
I called them thrice and sent three mails to them but did not get any reply.
Last agent told me to enjoy the trip and they will take care of the same once I come back.

When I reached the hotel then second wost experience was waiting for me. Hotel receptionist told me that they did not any intimation for my booking, I was standing infront of the reception for more than half an hour but they refused to allot me room without the confirmation from makemytrip. After a long battle finally I got the room.

Hotel manager told me that they charged makemytrip only Rs5244 for my stay and all the rest amount is extra that I have paid. they gave me hotel bills and send me an email to confirm the same. In that amount they might have some commision attached.

When I returned they refused to refund my amount and send me rules and regulation mails with the screen shot of price Rs 5502 which was again wrong and lower than what they charged me.

I wrote many mails and told them that if they will not do justice then I will go to consumer court for this injustice, but they did not reply me back. It seems that they hardly care about consumers suffrering and do not have any fear for indian consumer act.
I wrote to even vice president business development , Mr amit.saberwal but still there was no reponce.

I have following proves to support what I mentioned---


(1) Orignal Hotel bill signed by manager.
(2) email sent to me by hotel manager to confirm the same.
(3) screen shot of the hotel website that is showing the orignal price.
(4) all the mails that i have sent to make my trip.
(5) screen shot of all the other website of your competetor that are showing the orignal price


I am submitting all the proves with this application. please have a look and please take some action againts the culprits travel websites.
