All online card transactions, as per the latest RBI mandate need to have a second level authentication. Hence all cards are required to be registered either with Verified by Visa or MasterCard Secure Code to complete an online transaction. Also the transactions can be carried out only on those websites which are Verified by Visa or MasterCard Secure Code enabled.

Thus when you are doing an online transaction on these websites you will be prompted to register for the service, if you have not registered till date. You can fill the required details and complete the transaction post registering. Alternatively, you can visit the bank website and register your card for Verified by Visa or MasterCard Secure Code.

Even I had received a call from a guy named Ravindra telling he is from Travelport and offering me a package worth Rs. 4999 which entailed vouchers worth Rs. 25,000 and a discount card which could be used at various restaurants and hotels. I told him that I know Travelport is a big company and hence, asked him where is he calling from and he told me from Vikas Puri in Delhi. I confirmed the Travel port office address on the website and then resumed talking to him as I was convinced. I agreed to take the package from him as he told me I shall receive a mail as soon as I make the transaction and also, receive the package and a free Reebok wrist watch within 3-4 working days from the Mumbai office. He gave me the toll free number 011-45738585 as the future point of contact. The amount was debited from my credit card but I did not receive the package even after 7-8 days, nor did I get any mail. hence, I called on the toll free number which was picked up by a lady named Meenakshi who said that my package is on the way and shall reach in 2 more days. I have not received the package as yet when it has been more than 15 days and I am not able to get through to the aforementioned number anymore. I called up Travelport Delhi number which is given on their website and they have told they shall get back to me whether it is really their number or not. I think this is someone who has cheated in the name of Travelport and they should also be concerned about the same. What should I do to get my money back as I called my bank and they said that the payment has been made to the merchant and they cannot revoke the same anymore now. Please help me.

This is in reference to a call received from the number 01130925700 today claiming to be calling from Travelport Delhi office. The representative who called introduced himself as Suvir and said requested to speak to my wife , who is randomly selected for exclusive offers from Travelport.
He further went on to detail the offer to her, stating that travelport would give us vouchers worth INR 19000 to be redeemed on various services at your website (Air tickets - Domestic and International and holiday packages) along with a free Diners Club card and a watch worth 2900 valid for a year.

Further he went to verify which credit card she uses and the expiry date and stating that to generate a unique customer id he would connect her to the bank's IVR system to punch in the 16 digit credit card no followed by "xyz" and then the @@@ code. At this she said that she is not willing to disclose such details and will not be interested in the offer. He requested her to stay connected and said only if she is convinced that its the bank's IVR. Once the call was connected to the IVR, she was quick to realize that it was not the bank's IVR and disconnected the call.

The representative quickly returned the call and tried convincing me of the offer and by then we were sure that this was a case of suspected fraud under the banner of Travelport.
We made a call to the number (01145738585) that was provided by the representative and the call was received by a lady who refused to disclose the office address and said that she is not authorized to give out the information. We found out your contact details from the website and even called the Delhi franchise to confirm if there was any employee named Suvir but the Ali who picked up the call said that there was no one called suvir and he is not aware of such offers.

We decided to share this incident with you as we feel as responsible citizens it is our duty to bring such fraud cases to light so that innocent people are not cheated and such international organizations like Travelport have the right to know that there are such forgery cases are being carried out with their brand name. We have tried calling travelport corporate office but have not been successful, the contact no's are continuously busy or no answer.

Although we have escaped this, request you to please take up the matter seriously so that innocent people are not cheated and looking at the similar complaints on consumer forum, it's time that travelport management responds to such cases of forgery.

Ha ha ha .. Laughing at myself ... got caught by these people and lost 4999 INR

They asked to verify the card and somehow i ended up giving all the information and later on received a message for transaction of 4999.

Trying to get to these ppl from travelport number is busy for ages

I also cought by these people but atleast they sent the vouchers, card and watch but I am still not sure whether I will be able to use these vouchers or not are they fraud because all voucher mention some sr no. inaddition there are contact info of travel port is mentioned.

Please guide me how to check it whether they are genuine or not.

I got a call from an executive of Club Leisure mentioning that they are giving gift vouchers, a wrist watch and many things.

I got connected to IVR and ended up giving the details and only then realised that they have deducted the money, before the call was over. They never disclosed that payment in involved in this. When I got to know this, I threatened them that I will lodge a complaint. But the money is debited to my card. I even spoke to the bank whose card I am holding to see if the transaction can be cancelled but in vain.

Club leisure people do not share their address. When we call the number from which we received a call, call does not go through.

Clubleisure is cheating people by calling up them and giving a multi benefit card (Dining Plus).
Initially when i refuse to take the card but they convinced me by telling its Rs999 only so agreed on that, then they ask for my credit card details which i refuse but they said its just for verification as they are giving card with out any documents but after giving my card and @@@ number they deducted Rs4999 from my card when i got a confirmation call then i came to know that they deducted Rs4999 when i said i want to cancel the order then they refuse the same.
After getting the card and welcome kit from them i came to know that most of big outlets didnt accept this card and i feel like cheated.
Please help me to get the money from them back, i am ready to file a complaint against company.

mine is also the same story of some one calling & offering some goodies and finally debiting the card some thing must be done to teach this cheater a lesson.

i'm also getting the same calls since 2 days .But i got alert and checked their web site .In the mean while they forced me to tell my card no and @@@ ,but i refused and checked in this site.god ,saved by this fraud!
All PPL be aware of such frauds.better to check it before u become a prey.

I got a call from some guy offering me dining card, and I just googled the name of the company and landed on this site. While the guy was talking to me, I was looking at this thread and after reading the first post itself, told the guy I am not interested.

this thing has happened to me also but i was quick enough to block my credit card without discussing the matters wiht club leisure employess.
i blocked the credit card & payemnt was stopped instantly they all kept me calling from different nos to confirm me the address so they can send me the card FALTU DISCOUNT charged 5509 for that then i asked them to cancel it they told me that thier executive will come in welcome kit but due to false past commitment i never belived them & never confirmed the address now the calls r stoppped coming from them last 8-10 days thanks god i was saved 5509.........
i was never interested in thier card but they fully cheated me saying that it works as a credit card with unlimited withdrawal amount on it & 45 days credit free period !!!!!
i still confirmed it from them for about 2-3 employess on call centre thier boss also confirmed that it was a credit card & i may register for it with unlimited benefits.
so finally i was trapped they slowly took all my address, mob no, dob ,email id & credit card details
i was told that no transaction will b done on my card as soon the call was ended i saw a message of 5509 debit on my credit card i caled up the call centre of HDFC bank blocked my card applied to cancel this transaction as it was done wrongly the bank employees told me that we cant guarantee u that money will b stopped but enquiry will take place & if possible then we may stop the transaction.
i was put on hold for 8 days then i received a letter from bank that transaction has been stopped i felt comfortable then.
the same day i got call from club leisure to confirm the address so that card can b sent but for obvious reason i asked her that does it work like credit card then she blasted me saying that its a discount card & not a credit card she has been listening to the recorded transaction with me & club leisure emplaoyee & now wants to confirmt he address so that i can receive the card.
i refused her then she told me that i will b called up by the manager from then i received upto 8-10 calls per day for confirming the address which i never did..........
THE MORAL OF TRUE STORY IS
NEVER EVER PROVIDE CREDIT CARD DETAILS TO ANY BODY THOUGH HE SAYS THAT HE WILL PROVIDE U 1 CRORE IN MINS for SURE U WILL NOT GET 1 CRORE BUT LOOSE ALL THE CREDIT CARD MONEY......

I was also cheated by CLUB LEISURE today.They claim to have connected me to the interactive system of a bank of my choice for verification for identification purposes only and then took Rs 5509 from my a/c. When I objected and asked them to cancell that , they disconnected the phone and afterwards they could not be contacted on the mobile phone or landline where the call center kept me on eternal wait. Afterwards when a lady phone up I told her to cacel that transaction, she told that she will talk to her superiors and no commitment can be made
