Thumbs down Poor Quality of Panasonic Viera32LE7C

I bought a PANASONIC LCD TV one and half years back but really surprise to see that the LCD panel is not functioning properly. I lodged a complaint VSP Service centre on 14/07/2009 about the problem and the service engineer told me that the LCD TV is having problem with the panel. After 2 days they told me an estimate of 31000/- to repair an LCD TV of Rs 38000/-. My warranty is over after a year, but that doesn’t mean that a LCD TV worth Rs 38000/- will last only one and half year.
I have heard that this particular model of Panasonic T.V has not been very successful and is problematic. A few faulty models that were sold were replaced by the company about a year back. This was done to prevent those customers from going to court over bad quality of T.V. If a brand like PANASONIC is offering this kind of poorquality product, we as consumers feel cheated . I am very disappointed with the quality of the product that I got after spending 38000/- rupees. I would like to request PANASONIC to exchange my existing LCD TV and give me a new one along with warranty, so that I should not have a bad impression with a global brand like PANASONIC.
    Providing my product details:
Model No. – TX-32LE7C(W03) Serial No. – 744300634 Date of purchase – 25/11/2007 Dealer’s Name – VSP Vashi, Navi Mumbai
    Complaint No. – 0907B140006. Complaint Date - 14/7/2009
My expectation is that the PANASONIC should give me a brand new 32" LCD TV of that much cost as they sold me a very bad quality product.
If PANASONIC is selling this kind of bad quality product in the market with a huge price, then they should give minimum 5 years warranty.

    Dear all,

I am also one the victims of these television manufacturers.
(32" LCD panel gone in 14 months).
I have seen a lot of such complaints and I was about to post.
Just wanted to know, what is the outcome?
Did anyone get a free replacement (with new one)?
Did anyone get free repair (replacement of panel)?
Did anyone got the replacement done at very small price (if yes, how much)?
Please share your experience, it will help many people like me.

I have a similar case. Did you get any repair/ response/ replacement from Panasonic? The guys have the audacity to tell me that if I want I can go to consumer court and try my luck - they are over confident for some reason - maybe no one has sued Panasonic in India !!!

I purchased my Panasonic Viera TV (Model TH42PV7 / Sl#YS8110004) as a new year gift for my wife on 1st Jan 2009. I went to the only authorised shop in Noida as listed on Panasonic Website : M/s Rythm House in Sector-18 Noida. Have paid full amount with tax and have the bill of purchase too ! The service that I got from the shop and ASCs has been pathetic. Within 15days of purchase, my TV konked off and was made working only in Apr'09 after much pain.

I thought that atleast the TV is working now and I have peace of mind, but since Dec'09 till date, the condition of TV continues to worsen with coloured lines and 2 one inch black band covering the left side of my TV screen. I am sure that this is a manufacturing/ design latent defect, but Panasonic guys want Rs. 45000/- to repair this TV which I bought for Rs. 53000/- and have used in healthy condition for less than 10 month.

Most importantly, the Panasonic ASC guys tell me that this is an International Model and not convered under India Warranty - is it my mistake that they sold me this model from a Panasonic Authorised Dealer.

Getting tired of follow-ups. Just hoping someone senior at Panasonic would listen and replace this TV.
