TV (out of warranty) stopped working (no picture and sound) due to lightening. We complained this on 18/05/2009 to Philips Authorised Service center - Ariel Electronics (10777), Davangere. Already one month over no repair has been done, TV is still in the service center and given an estimated repair charge of Rs.15000/- saying that some board inside has to be replaced. When we asked the service person he said he don't know how to repair this TV set (since lesser TV sets are in Davangere). He said that he is trying to repair and asked help from the main center. Then complaint has been lodged in the philips customer care (reg no:2492) but they are not able to trace the information. TV issue is not solved yet.
Last october TV warranty period was over and TV failed in May,2009 (6 months after warranty). Below are the details of the TV:
Purchased Philips TV Model: 29PT 9421/69 R serial No: B21G0529610664 purchased date of purchase is 30/10/2005 and Purchased rate was Rs.37500/-. Warranty Period: 1+2 years.
Hope to get some justice for this issue.
