Default White screen mess in my life too

    Hi,
I had bought Samsung LA40B550 in Oct-2009 for around 55000. Its only been a year and a half and I have a white screen and movie seems like negatives. The Samsung customer care is very insensitive to the complaint, and on repeated follow up, they visited just to tell that only solution is LCD panel replacement which would cost anything around 25K. And samsung has no concept of AMCs.
I was shocked to hear this, repair costing 505 of the original cost and almost 80% of todays cost for a similar TV.
Why is Samsung not ofering AMCs, is it not confident of its own products?? or it knows it pushing the 3rd grade stuff into India. Instead of investing on customers and products the company seems more interested in investing in advertising and selling faulty panels in India.
Samsung is an unethical, non-customer friendly company and should not be allowed to sell its stuff in india.

If you are on this post, then you are already a victim of an unethical, non-customer centric company SAMSUNG... please advise everyone in your circle to refrain from SAMSUNG, no matter how lucrative/tempting it may sound. This is a little bit you can do to save others plus your bit to hit back at SAMSUNG...
For me its "Go Samsung Go - back to korea!!!!!!!!!!! You are not needed in India"

Default Samsung LCD TV, Repair cost same as New New TV

    Hi,

I have purchased a Samsung LCD 22" TC in Feb 2010, Now i was getting issue with my TC that it keep turns Off-On repeatedly. So i have logged called to Samsung Service centre and they have asked me to send my TV to Samsung Service Centre of my Town.
After 10 days I got a call from service centre that there is some problem with LCD Panel and it needed to be replaced. He told me price of new panel would be 10,000. As of now in marked 22” LCD TV costs around 11-12K. So spending 10K for a panel is just same as buying a brand new TV.
I didn’t understand why the Panel has been damaged in just 1.5 year. I understand that my TV is not under warranty but still I am not expecting that much poor performance.
Earlier we had CRT TV of Crown that last for 22 years and this Samsung LCD is just stop working in 1.5 year.
Anyone from Samsung Team is hearing my voice? Can anyone please advise me what I should do?

    Thanks,
    Shailesh

Default SAMSUNG LCD TV 32" PANEL PROBLEM IN LESS THAN 4 YEARS. REPAIR COST Rs.23,000

    Hi All,

I had filed a complaint with Samsung few days back for a blurred image on my LCD TV. The technician came in yesterday and said it was a problem with the board that comes with the TV panel and will cost around Rs.23,000. I had paid Rs.46,000 on this TV around 4 years ago. Now similar TVs are only costing less than Rs.30,000 and the repair cost is too high for an old television. I strongly believe SAMSUNG should repair this free of cost by recalling the product for whoever had the problem. I am going to write a letter to SAMSUNG today and if they do not respond or provide good response, I'm thinking of going to consumer court.

I just came to know about this forum and read that many users have similar problems. Have any of you taken this issue to the Consumer Court? Any luck in getting this issue resolved free of cost? I sincerely expect your responses as I am in a huge shock after hearing the repair cost.

    Thanks,

    Hi,

Add me to this victim list of Samsung product. I had purchased LED TV Model : UA32C5000QRMXL of RS. 49900 /- on 7-Nov-2010, but it had come to repair on 9-Nov-2011, just two days after warranty, the problem is "no picture just white screen". I registered the complaint with No: 8424158083, when I ask for free service ,customer care is saying that I have to pay product and service charges since warranty is over.

The service engineer came to home and verified the TV. He suspected that T-con board might have gone, he replaced the new T-con board and checked. There was no change in display, just white screen. Now he is telling that LED display might have gone.

One customer care person called up and said talk to concerned person by giving contact number. When I called him, he is not picking the call.

The TV was purchased in 2008, in 3yrs the TV has gone bust.
the tv has been sparingly used.
how can Samsung justify the cost of service to a new tv?

Can some 1 help in taking this issue up

    Angry Samsung LCD TV 32"

    Dear Sir,

I have purchased LCD TV in July 2010 and just after one year, as warranttee expire, the TV also retired. We did call the customer care and service engineer visited last week and he suggested to change the mother board of LCD TV. Probably what drove service engineer to come to conclusion, prejudice in his mind or real technical issue, that mother board can not be repaired, if it is faulty or otherwise, as product is just out of warrantee of one year, I really can not figure out the nexus.

What made me to think, Samsung is another company, where products are made only for one year ( i.e. warrantee period), as soon, it is passed, products get retired too? As if the life of Samsung product is designed for one year. Now this is serious matter, we did not do any thing, if motherboard get problem, this is probably the manufacturing problem, not legally, but ethically. I believe, Samsung practices ethics and earn trust in the industry.

I did call number of times, filled up forms in the service on web, wasted so much of time, explaining the things, but all in vain. My simple question “is Samsung product designed only for one year” if yes, then please do send me in writing, I will take it to next level of “Product Conspiracy”, if ‘No’, then how come my LCD TV gets retired without any human intervention, just after one year, don’t you consider it is matter of manufacture fault and should be repaired or replaced free of cost.

I would request your kind intervention to prevent the "Product Conspiracy" being malpractice by Samsung. Please do something. Thanks

    Default Another cry for HELP!

after reading don't know how many threads, which concern the matter similar in description as to my own...losing faith already.

i am also an owner of a samsung lcd 32" LA32A550P1R which i purchased like about a year and a half ago, the problem started a day or two ago when my picture became all irritating with fluctuating contrast ratios and brightness levels, as per the technical problems, this is a problem with the panel for sure. but the troubling fact is that if samsung(SOB's) claim the working life of the panel to be approximately 60k hrs, what the hell are they bragging about. this is totally ridiculous, talking to the samsung engineer didn't do any good either as he came up with the same conclusion- panel replacement.

SAMSUNG is playing some kind of bogus strategy to engulf their consumers without even us knowing.

What i would like to know if any of the above people have got their case settled in the consumer courts or was all this in vain.

any advise for future customers...on how to tackle with this scenario...also if i should get it repaired eventually either by a samsung guy or buy an outside personnel (which honestly won't be able to give me the top notch repairing) OR ultimately replace my non-functioning tv with a brand new one..thus spending my hard earned money and giving up to the corporate bullshit that the world is playing with the unaware consumer.

and "Consumer Court" admins, would you please read all the thread posts seriously because the point of having all these forums to resolve our problems by experienced people is for nothing-defeating the sole purpose of it all..please take the necessary action and for all sake...HELP uS!!!

Thumbs down Samsung 32" lcd tv panel problem in just 1 yr

    Hi,

I had bought Samsung 32" LCD TV in Dec-2010 for 28,000 /-. Its only been a year in Dec-2011 and I have a white screen. The Samsung customer care is very insensitive to the complaint, and on repeated follow up, they visited just to tell that only solution is LCD panel replacement which would cost anything around 19,400k and samsung has no concept of AMCs.
I shocked to hear this, that repair costing is more than the price of LCD TV....
Samsung guys responded to my complaint raise a couple of days back and said that we need to replace the LCD PANEL.

This says, SAMSUNG LCD PANELS are NOT RELIABLE. ...

Samsung is an unethical, non-customer friendly company and should not be allowed to sell its stuff in india.

Default Samsung LCD 32" Panel Problem

    Hi Samsung Team,

I had purchased Samsung 32” LCD Television (Model No. LA32C450) on 05-09-2010 from Rahul Electronics Pvt Ltd, D/2, Kumud Nagar, Nr Cine Max S V Road, Goregaon (West), Mumbai – 62 against their Tax Invoice No. 8977 dated 05-09-2010 for Rs. 28,000/- (incl VAT).

On 06-04-2012 (exactly after 18 months) we noticed horizontal lines on the screen and lodged complaint with your customer service centre and complaint registration number was given as 8424929201 dated 06-04-2012. Same day engineer from Abhinav Enterprises visited at our below mentioned residential address and informed us that the panel of the TV is not functioning properly / needs to be replaced. Since the warranty of the TV is only for 1 Year, he gave us an estimate of Rs. 18,158/- (incl All).
I have seen many blogs on the internet complaining above problems exactly after the warranty period. Looking at the company brand name I have invested my hard earned money. TV brought for 28000/- and with 18 months to spend 18000/-+ on repair is not at all justified.

It’s my humble request that a panel may please be sanctioned free of cost. We are really not in a position to spend even the bare minimum cost for repair.
Please find attached herewith the bill copy, estimate for repair and few snaps of the damaged LCD.
Looking forward for your favorable reply.

The above message was email to their CEO and auto generates message was received that samsung shall revert back in 48 hrs. However on 20-04-2012 I received a call from samsung service center offering me 50% discount in the panel cost with 1 month warranty, which is not acceptable. Since there is a genuine problem with the panel samsung should provide free of cost to their customers. This is a MANUFACTURING DEFECT.

    Thanks & Regards
