I stay in Chennai and went for meeting at Mumbai. I frequent to Mumbai and I travel only by Meru. On 20th evening at 6.30PM I boarded Cab- MH 01 JA 9511 from a resort at Thane Godbunder road to go to the airport. The usual route taken is via Mira road, Borivli and the charge is below Rs.400. It takes 1.20 minutes maximum.
I did not notice where the driver was taking me. By the time I realized I was in Sion. He had taken me on a very long route. I reached the airport at 8.30 PM and missed my flight. I had to take another flight and lost 5000 rupees because of this.
I registered a complaint with Meru. They promised action. But, they are not ready to compensate me for my financial loss and trauma. Can I lodge a complaint against them? Where and How?
I had booked a MERU cab at 12.30 am on 14th Nov for a trip from Andheri (W) to Prabhadevi. The date and time of pick-up was 14th Nov at 5.45 pm. When I did not receive the cab details by 5.30 pm, I called up their number, only to be informed that the cab would reach me by 6.15 pm and that too after a hold of about 10 mins. I wasn’t given the details then either which makes me assume that the cab wasn’t assigned, in the first place. As 6.15 pm would’ve been too late, I had to cancel the booking. This is the fourth of fifth time this has happened and I have the following questions regarding the same: -
Q1. Inspite of my booking being accepted at 12.30 am i.e. almost 18 hours in advance, why was a cab not assigned even at 5.30 pm?
Q2. If there is a delay from your end, is it not MERU's responsibility to inform me via sms/call?
Q3. Assuming that a cab was assigned, why was I not given the details on my second call?
I posted this complaint on their website and recieved an acknowledgement on 16th nov that I would get a reply within 3 working days. I haven't recieved any reply yet.
Can anyone please tell me how can I lodge a compliant online? I sent mail to 'feedback.mum@merucabs.com' but didnt receive any response.
I am residing in Delhi. My train Bhopal Shatabdi was scheduled on 27th Feb 2010 at 6:15 am. I had booked a cab about 20 hours in advance. When i did not get the cab details by 4:00 am i called them back. They said the cab was on its way and would be reaching in another 10 mins. I kept on calling them again and again and they kept on making stories. Finally the cab arrived at 6:00 am and i missed my train. They told me that they would get back and take action against my complaint. But none of the above happened till date. I hard a really tough time getting another train. Can i lodge a complaint against them in consumers court.
