Yesterday (18 April 2011) night I booked 2 cabs (From Old Delhi Railway Station to Raj Nagar Extn. Ghaziabad), with the help of my friend, as I was in train, for today(19 April 2011) morning 5.15 AM. I received 2 SMS with booking IDs 481922 and 481923. I was relieved of worries that I will have the cabs ready at the station once I reach there and safely reach the home. I was with my family, including my 6 months old son and few guests.
But Quick Cab did the QUICK MAGIC, just before we were supposed to arrive at the station as I received 2 SMSs saying, "Sorry, at present we can not provide you the cab requested as all the cabs are booked."
That was one most horrible moment of my life as, one of my guests was suffering from acute fever and we were left stranded at Railway station with a patient and a baby of 6 months old, on our own in the morning 5:15 AM.
When I tried calling their call center at that time, no response was there. And I had to arrange a taxi from an unknown person who came to us and asked "Sir, Taxi, Auto ya Hotel kuch chahiye kya..."
I can't understand that how these people at Quick cabs can't decide the availability of the cabs till 45 Minutes before of the pickup scheduled and then just exactly 45 Mins before (They are punctual in this) sending the message that no cabs are available as all cabs are booked.
Didn't they had the idea of no of cabs they are operating with or no of bookings they are taking under against the number of cabs available.
And when I called their customer care, I dont know how they recruit a person to handle the calls as he said "Sir this is our system and you were told that the confirmation of cab booking will be sent to you before 45 Mins of scheduled pick up". When I asked him that is there any difference between confirmation of booking and confirmation of cab availability, he was speechless and told me to stay online while he checks the details. and he came up with the following answer."Sir last night aapke liye kisi aur ne cab book ki thi, aap unse baat kariye, humne unko bata diya tha."
I asked him that why he or his department was not able to decide the availability of cab at the time booking or atleast 2-3 hours prior to scheduled pickup, he said,"Sir hamara process to yahi hai. Hum isme kuch nahin kar sakte".
Can any one let me know that who is to be held responsible for the inconvenience caused to me and my guests, just because of some nonsense Process and policies which is misused by booking agent or customer care executive as they say that booking confirmation will sent to you 45 mins before the time and treated as cab availability confirmation for their own use, while completely neglecting the requirements of customers.
