Few more updates. After lodging the complaint here against Star City Taxi and Just Dial on Sunday, Monday I received calls from both. The driver working for Star City Taxi, who missed the booking and also forgot to call me about the taxi status, called on Monday and asked for apology. But I would expect an apology from the rude call center guy as well. Later I received call from Just Dial representative 'Mary'.

This is interesting, if you guys are not aware, this is a very useful information to all. According to Mary, if you call up Just Dial and ask for any service, they can use your number as they wish. They can send your number to taxi service providers, pizza providers, gangsters and god knows who else. And you have to explicitly tell the Just Dial representing to not to disclose your information. Doesn't that sound illegal. She also said that, this term is stated in the company disclaimer. Imagine a company like Just Dial, who have just launched their service in the US, would have a term like this? they'll get sued in millions if they did anything of this sort in US. I would have sued them if I was in the US. So I went through their site and found this, "Personal Information will be kept confidential and will be used for our research, marketing, and strategic client analysis objectives and other internal business purposes only. We do not share, sell or rent Personal Information except that in case you are a customer of our search services through any of the Media, your Personal Information shall be shared with our subscribers/advertisers and you shall be deemed to have given consent to the same.". They went against their policy, they didnt ask me before sharing my number with their advertisers.

I booked their can to drop me at airport. The booking number 11329. However the cab did not turn up.

Useless taxi service and rude call centre guys. Never experipenced such bad cab service. STAR CAB IS ONE OF THE WORST CAB SERVICE IN BANGALORE. Booking id 41115.

Pathetic experience with Start cab BANAGLORE. They are based in RajajiNagar. Never book taxi from them.

The call center ladies behave very rudely. Sometime they do not even bother to answer you and just hang up the call. They give false commitments. Before booking price will 400/- and after booking it becomes 500/- and the reason becomes afternoon price is more.

Such a cheat...I will never book again from them and request the reader go with any authorised taxi service.

Absolutely.. I wish I had checked this forum before booking this service today. Despite these complaints, it seems Just Dial hasn't bothered to blacklist this Star Cab (Phone 43432323) service, and continue to pass our numbers to them. As can be expected of this taxi service, they took by booking at 7:30 and assured cab would be sent on time at 9. Infact, on top of it they even confirmed the cab would be there 30 mins ahead of time. Neither the taxi came, nor did the driver call. Guests after waiting for long time, had to leave in an auto. This is despite me calling this Star Cab Service at least 5 times, each time a different person picking the call. Can I request Just Dial once again not to pass on number to this taxi provider?? Of course, nothing better can be expected from this cab service - as was clearly evident by the quality of the staff speaking over the phone. But hopefully can we expect something better from Just Dial.

I called star city taxi for a 17 km distance journey. Ejipura - koramnagala bosch - ejipura - KR puram railway station - B narayanapura. He had taken a 2 km longer route via BEML instead of the baiyappanahalli route from Indiranagar 80 ft road. His meter was showing 28 kms instead of 19 kms. This is a case of faulty meter or meter tampering.. I am a frwequent traveller in the route. I have called up the customer care centre of star city taxi and they have not responded to my call.
