I am also one of the victims of Indiatimes fraud and sloppy customer handling tactics.
I ordered one Panasonic KS TG 7233 triple set cordless phone and paid Rs. 4999/- (order id-30000090147) as the quoted price through netbanking on 14 Feb., 2012. As per the response available on line on behalf of the seller, the site indicated the delivery of the product by 24 Feb., 2012. But the product arrived much ahead of the delivery schedule on 17 Feb. 2012. However, pack arrived with the wrong product - the adapetrs with the phone are of British standard, so the phone instruments would not connect with Indian sockets.
The complaint made immediately upon seeing the product resulted in a belated response from Indiatimes with a BIG SORRY. The gist of the long story is that I have been getting e-mails from indiatimes every 4-5 days saying that they are constantly following up with the merchant to replace the product.
It is more than a month - no refund, no replacement. I never had such a horrible experience with any online shopping sites except this.
I wish your Forum could teach a lesson to Indiatimes.
