AALSIL - ANTI RAGGING CELL aims at maintaining a healthy and congenial academic environment that will protect the new entrants ( fresher students – both girls and boys) from the menace of ragging. To deal with ragging incidents the AALSIL anti ragging cell has been established wherin volunteers from various socio- Legal Backgrounds are here to help any victim- we receive complaints 24/7 – 365 days. There are many instances in the near past – Students who were silent VICTIMS of ragging later were drawn to commit suicide. Some were even murdered by the seniors who thought silence as encouragement to commit more crimes . In such events there are instances of colleges hushing up matter with help of local departments in order to save goodwill of colleges. Ragging is a criminal offence and thus a Vigilance Team against ragging activities has been instituted in accordance of law - by AALSIL – ARC, INDIA . with a practical aim to eradicate Ragging from our student society. If anyone is found indulging in ragging he/she is likely to be punished appropriately. Severity of punishment in the form of expulsion from the campus, suspension from the classes , fine with writ public apology and oral public apology in front of the whole campus . Strict watchdog on the seniors inside and outside the has been constituted in compliance with law – Human Rights and violaters shall be severly punished. Hostel authorities are also put on high alert all over India with efforts of AALSIL. Hostel warden who ignores or keeps his silence – when ragging activity is happening will be also prosecuted and suitable action will be initiated as such wardens are considered accomplice in crime.
If the fresher student who is victim of any ragging activity reports to AALSIL - Anti Ragging cell shall takeup the matter and the students involved /encourage or indulge in such acts shall be severly punished with judicial imprisonment for period of 10 years.If any victim of Ragging is physically abused - such students should not be silent victims. Ragging is not a sport- it reflects on their poor upbringing of such students who involve themselves and rag . Ragging is a CRIMINAL OFFENCE. Enjoyment by some characterless students who come from very low/poor upbringing who usually enjoy by humiliating junior/fresher students is a sadistic act and is a crime against humanity and students engaging themselves in such activities are criminals who lack basic human etiquettes and will be severly punished by LAW and earnest efforts /prompt perusal of complaints received by victims/students AALSIL ANTI RAGGING CELL.
