The country's first remote anti-virus management solution was launched Thursday by leading IT firm HCL Comnet in collaboration with Trend Micro, a global provider of network anti-virus software.

Expert Service Offering (ESO) is the first end-to-end expert service delivered remotely and will fortify enterprises from virus attacks.

Approximately one million enterprise users are expected to benefit from the service.

HCL Comnet's chief operating officer Sanjeev Nikore said: "With increasing maturity and complexity in IT environments and the growing demand for proactive management, the need to provide customers with a service that would reduce downloading time has also increased.

"The service will provide perhaps the most comprehensive security offering to enterprise customers," country manager of Trend Micro Niraj Kaushik said.
